A trip to the optician in Blackpool today to get some new lenses in my old frames specially for driving.
I didn't expect it to be such an hilarious visit but the Circus Festival is in town at the Winter Gardens. Not your usual old circus but something new & refreshing with old fashioned stalls & do it yourself circus turns.
These two suddenly appeared out of nowhere riding on these shopping trolleys, music blaring & their legs waving up & down...they really played to their audience, everyone loved it! These two ''ladies' are called grannyturisimo. http://www.showzam.co.uk/
Three good things:
1. A bit of hilarious entertainment.
2. They put my lenses in within one hour.
3.Harry has mown some grass today, it looks so much tidier!
What fun!! that cheered a dreary day up then!! One of them is even no hands, no feet!! I was thinking about cutting the grass as I have been tidying the beds and now there is 'stuff' all over the lawn..if Harry thinks its ok I will then!!!
How do they make the trolleys move? Where is the music? Ah, I can see now - its one of those sedgeway things and the legs are artificial! What a hoot and a lot of innovative fun!
Ever have one of those days when you're pondering what to shoot and then out of nowhere comes the perfect subject?!! Brilliant - I seem to remember when I was little that pram races were all the rage - it's like a modern version. Can Harry have a quiet word in Nigel's ear about the lawn?!
@maggiemae That was one thing I couldn't fathom out maggiemae, they went quite fast & seemed to go where they wanted them too. How they balanced on them was pretty amazing too!
@sabresun They did a bit but they made such a noise & everyone was laughing. They come out into the street at certain times so I think some people were waiting especially.
i like your 'ladies' Pat and the real lady in the middle has a nice smile...in fact you captured another lady with a nice smile a couple of days ago on one of your street shots :)
Great find! They really are riding the trolleys aren't they! I thought they'd stuck a skirt and a false pair of legs on top of the trolley, but the feet would be visible under the trolley. Super shot and well done the two ladies as well!
