Harry & I spent the morning cleaning the sitting room carpet with the new Vax machine, We did ti outside in the sun while I sealed the flag floor again while the rug was up.
We are so pleased with the result..the rug is like new & no trace of dog smell I hope!!!
We have lit the fire early to help with the drying.
Three good things:
1. I am like a spring chicken bouncing around after having my knees injected yesterday although was told to take it easy which I am doing now.
2. The house all clean & ready for a busy weekend with b&b guests.
3.The official first day of Spring 1st March.
We need one of those, Vax! Nothing wrong with being out spoken! When I saw the comment I thought I bet you are a farmer :) which is a good thing by the way. Sorry about the reflection comment I mixed you up with some one else who's name is very similar. I look forward to seeing more photos and out spoken comments.
@barrowlane Lovely to see your comment here Rob ...I checked your photos out & I can see you too are very country minded so I will follow you then I can see some more!!!
@judithg@busylady We were shocked & ashamed how much dirty water came out, I think we went over it four times & still not spotless water. We gave up & will do it again in the summer, better drying. We would lend you our carpet cleaner if you lived nearer Judith!!!!
Its a beautiful rug and worthy of a good clean. Like your light in the fireplace - that huge space which I can just imagine at one time, held several big logs burning!
Haha - this is how you rest - by cleaning carpets and sealing floors?!?! The rug looks wonderful sparkly clean - the colors are so vibrant! I have very few rugs left - have mostly hardwood or laminate floors now - but I rent a machine and am always disgusted by the grimy water.
