I went to see 'Song for Marion ' today with a friend.
Terence Stamp & Vanessa Redgrave were both excellent in it & I would thoroughly recommend it.
Lunch first & a walk along Clevelys promenade & then the back row at the cinema, a bag of Revels & my feet up on the seat in front...a blissful afternoon!!!!
I have played about a touch with this picture of the beach trying to get that washed out look @still_beachradish is so good at...I think I failed miserably but it was fun!
Three good things:
1. A large glass of red wine with my lunch.
2. The other mattress topper has arrived.
3. We have spent the generous voucher Lesley gave us last May...a solar sun brolly & some trees, Harry picked them up this afternoon.
Just read the observer review which was not flattering. But your walk along the beech looks fabulous. I do like how you always enjoy a wee glass with lunch....
@fueast No the reviews don't always agree with us viewing public & I know this had a very luke warm reception but I really enjoyed it....perhaps it's an age thing Alison!!!!!!!
Oh goody will have to see that.....i read rubbish reviews too, fortunately our cinema sells wine so i can view it through wine coloured specs!!! Love your shot..nearly there!!
@fannyb I thought it knocked spots off Quartet which was very well received & I thought was boring but it's all accounting for taste. Doesn't everything look better through a wine glass....you have a very enterprising cinema!!
I feel as if I am eves dropping on three good friends !! but hay ho I don't mind if you don't !!! I,m so intrigued by this sea scape the flatness of it all, giving it a sense of calmness
.......to the lonely sea and the sky. I'd like to see that film too. I think it's one for the girls. We went to see Side Effects this evening with Jude Law and Katherine Zeta-Jones. Clever plot but don't go unless you want to come back depressed!
I think you've done well here, Pat. The only thing you haven't done which would have made it more like the work of the other 365-er is to have had a far larger ratio of sky, and to have washed it out even further. Still, having said that, I really like what you've done. It works.
Its difficult to get as good as Beachradish - she has a magic touch! Nice flat scene here with a light coloured sea. Haven't seen this Marion film - looks good -not here in NZ, I think!
Remember Cleveleys well - thanks for sharing your pic. Funnily enough I'm trying (with not much success at the moment) to trace, for a mutual friend, a guy who lived in Cleveleys about 60 years ago. You pic has given me a new lease of life on the project. Thanks
