Waiting in line. by happypat

Waiting in line.

Henry is not back home yet so this is a shot of the sheep queueing up the ramp while waiting to be shorn. I had a choice of two photos but picked this one in the end...I might post the other in my extras!

I think I picked this first as he was looking straight at me almost saying ''please get me out of here''!
I am posting early today as I am going hospital visiting ...will comment when I come back.

Three good things:
1. I am reading a rather good book recommended by Cathy..full of gentle humour but with sad recollections of the past ..I am enjoying it tremendously. The Misremembered Man by Christina McKenna.
2. Time to sit & read!!
3. I have started planting out my pots & troughs.
A dear what a sad picture. I would have to walk away.

I agree, this is the nicer shot because of the sheep looking out at us. I love your 3 good things each day.

Poor thing - don;t you feel sorry for them. I could do with a good book recommendation as the one we're reading for our book group is dreadful - Anne Enright's The Gathering' It gets poor reviews and was a Man Booker prize winner - say no more.

But he will feel so much better when it is over. Dogs are not sheep, of course, but my pup loves to go for his "spa day", get a bath, massage and his hair shorn off. He needs to go now, he is getting a bit wooly.

If only they remembered how much better they felt afterwards! I don't think the sheep has a memory bank, though! It is so nice when you enjoy the book you are reading - I have finally found one to enjoy after giving up on several!

It's amazing how much character I can see in the sheep despite the fact that it's simply looking at the camera with little signs of an expression on its face - great shot :)

Touching pic. Great shot!

I like both a lot but this one's 'How come you're not doing this?' look is great! Hope it's warm enough for Henry today. June being too cold for a sheep is not allowed!! Might try the book - reading Sebastian Faulke's A Possible Life' at the moment and is hasn't got me excited yet - I think maybe there's a twist to come but I find him quite variable....

@judithg Henry hasn't come home yet Judith, quite cold here so Graham must have thought he would give him another night inside.
I haven't read his latest so interesting to see what you thought of it....nothing could beat Birdsong though!!!

Oh, that look. If only they could talk!

The indignity of it all, and the possibilty of death by shearing at his age. No wonder he's giving you that look.
