Henry came home this morning!
He ran out of the trailer & you could see by his face he knew exactly where he was & pleased to be home.
He had a little pasture in the fresh grass, sat in the sun while the ''boss'' mowed his field & then thought it's' too noisy' here so retired to his hut.
The little bit of blood you can see is where he had his last injection this morning.
Because it's a collage the pictures are quite small so best viewed large if you have the time & inclination!
We are so pleased to have him back!!!
Three good things:
1. Henry home.
2. Lunch out in the sun.
3. DIL dad coming for his supper & bringing a video of his recent trip to NZ so will be new 'doings' of Max on there.
Come on Pat --no flying the flag in welcome !! Who was the most glad he was home ? I'm sure you were relieved that all was well & Henry looks as if he is back & enjoying his home comforts Lovely story telling collage !
I am so pleased to see him back. He probably doesn't know what a following he has, or how lucky he is to be with you. And he is looking very smart with his new 'do'. I would love to know how he ended up being a pet ram on a dairy farm.
@jantan I shall tell you Jan...our then sons girlfriend, now wife, was a beef buyer at an abattoir & one day she went into work, some sheep had been brought in for slaughter & during the night one had had a lamb.
Jo smuggled it home in a cardboard box & he grew up with Tui who was then a pup.
When he got older he went into the fields with calves & then graduated to the milk cows coming in at milking time & waiting in the collecting yard until the end of milking & off out again with the cows. As such he definitely thinks he is a cow because he never met any other sheep until he went for clipping. Now ''retired'' he is very happy on his own & treats with disdain the sheep he sees over the fence when they come for grazing in the winter...he has a house & they don't!!
He looks extremely relieved to be back home and also shawn, yet alive. Still, he'll come to appreciate the lack of wool if the summer holds as it has for the last couple of weeks. That's the one big trauma over for the year.
great trio! he's quite a special creature with such an interesting biography!
He'll be glad it's warm and sunny now his coat is off! This time last year it was cold and wet.....Jonathan was recalling today that he was in his warmest cycle gear as they set off from Land's End!
I'm thinking Henry is about five? You would have so used to seeing his face out their in the field and that is why you miss him! After all, he doesn't come inside at nights and lounge on the sofa....does he?
Welcome home, Henry!!! He looks so stylish with his new spring cut...and I'm certain he must feel so light and unencumbered by fleece! Gracious, that must have been a gigantic injection to his hind quarter. I hope it does a quick and thorough job in clearing up his foot problem. Henry looks so happy and relieved to be back home! I'm hoping he has a simply marvelous summer being spoiled and well loved! Love this delightful collage of the happy homecoming!
And I know you enjoyed the video viewing of your precious Max!
