Lunch at Verdi when I was in London with @judithg & @sparkle quite a small place to say the least but very cosy with it.
Loved the way the marmalade was displayed with the light shining through!
Sorry I have resorted to a filler today...too hot to go out photo hunting & we have done a little entertaining here too.
Three good things:
1. My friend came round for the afternoon & she is so much better from her long illness.
2. Harry has been to the chief doctor & has come home well pleased ,a bit of proper action at last...a cortisone injection in the offing!!!
3. A talk with my lovely sister this morning & a get together in the near future...well October time!
@jgpittenger Marmalade doesn't seem as popular as it was over here ....I notice because I hardly ever have to buy a new jar, they last ages...they would rather eat jam or lemon cheese.
Wow, that backlit wall of marmalade is so cool looking. My mum still makes marmalade from time to time. The bubbling of it in a brass vat (are they called vats?) on the stove is one of the aromas of my childhood.
@sabresun Jam pan is a better word I think Matt ....love to see jam making etc these young girls nowadays don't know they're born!!! I have my old woman hat on now!! LOL !
@maggiemae We have had a fabulous day today...almost too hot sitting in our eating area this afternoon but not grumbling...will last until Tuesday they say!
@khirsch Sorry Karin & you speak such good English too ..I am in awe of you ...us Brits are rubbish at languages, my fault for thinking you thought i had made it all!!! Didn't want to take all the glory!!
Wonderful shot, Pat...looks a bit like a stained glass window with the light shining through the marmalade tower. How did I miss the news of your London meet-up with @judithg ??? When did that fun get together take place??? I'm totally jealous ~ I know you must have had a fabulous time!!!
So glad that Harry is getting some meaningful results from his doc!
@peggysirk May 18th Peggy & we had a great day meeting up....both totally as I expected them to be & we had a day taking some really interesting photos, chatting, eating & drinking on the banks of the Thames....you would have been most welcome!!!
@happypat The date explains why I allowed that happy occasion to escape my notice...that was the week after Will's birth and the week that my mother was moving into her new house. I don't think I was home very much but to fall into bed at night. I just hate that I missed the London meet up news!!! I know that was a fun day for all involved! You and Judith would be at the top of my list of favorite 365ers to meet in person.
@peggysirk Oh Peggy you are an angel & would so love to meet you too one day...funny how you have that empathy with some folks!! @judithg Sure Judith would say the same!
Thank you all very much,,sorry about mass reply but have been out so started commenting late.
So glad that Harry is getting some meaningful results from his doc!
