A delicate day. by happypat

A delicate day.

Spent the day reading in the sun. A little delicate after being ill in the night, not sure whether it was something I had eaten or a small bug. Ok this morning but not up to par!

Three good things:
1. The luxury of being able to have a lie in & sit in the sun for most of the day.
2. A good book to keep me company..Sacred Hearts by Sarah Dunant.
3. Lily...her sister who lived in Reading died today, my friends cat Mabel .... RIP Mabel.
I really like this composition. It is very relaxing. That's what you must do. A few days with feet up.

Like the symbolism of the little petals. Yes, just have a delicate time for a day or two. The heat is a bit overpowering too.

You might be a bit under the weather after all that planning, preparing and doing! Take it easy and get into that book. I just looked on my iPad and have about 8 books to read that I have chosen!

@maggiemae I keep buying books on my kindle...not good when the credit card bill comes but oh so convenient......keep saying I will go to the library but some of my buys are cheap!! I always think books in NZ are so expensive to buy so I imagine for you to buy them on your ipad through places like Amazon must be a real benefit?

Take it easy, Pat - I don't like the thought of an ebook yet - maybe when the second hand market dries up. My village has such great readers who the pass on books via charity stalls.

Go to Bookbub.com and sign up for their daily emails that alert you to free and cheap downloads for your Kindle. I have read some wonderful free books through this. I have disciplined myself to only get the free ones, and if I start reading and don't like it, nothing is lost. Hope you are all mended!

Oh you poor thing - I hate that. Loads of it going round Cambridge at the moment apparently. Still feeling a bit grotty myself and I lost my appetite for a while which was good for the diet. Unfortunately the fresh air has brought it all back! Lovely photo.

Great capture. I hope you are feeling better. I know that you did not ask for my advice, but there is only one way to retire from a job and that is to walk away.
