A mixed collage today just showing the SOOC blue skies we are having in the UK...so hot at 35deg !!
Wonderful if like us you can sit in the shade under a brolly but I feel so sorry for the work force struggling in the towns & cities.
Waiting too for a new heir to the throne...overdue now poor girl in this heat!
The stepladders I use to water the hanging basket reminded me because apparently down in London there has been an army of press & photographers plus stepladders camped outside the hospital for the last two weeks ...they probably daren't leave their posts in case someone else gets their place!!!
Three good things:
1. Retirement!
2. Out for fish & chips with friends tonight...we do have to eat even in this heat!!
3. Ice Cream.
Lovely blue skies and flowery baskets. I made ice-cream today with the ice-cream maker, but it wouldn't freeze - it was so hot! It's not an electric one so the frozen bowl gradually loses it's cool. After an hour and a half (usually 30 minutes) I turned it off and scooped out the still soft ice-cream anyway!
A lovely snapshot of summer in your collage. Hope you enjoy the fish and chips. We were out for lunch - mine was a most delicious, and really too large, prawn salad. But I still coped with a pudding!!
How cool we are is so much down to how our homes and offices are built. Luckily, my office stays fairly cool as we have blinds and fans. I do feel sorry for those who cant's keep cool.
F & C is a great idea for tonight - no cooking! I'm going for the ready meal option.
Captured the summer. Strong blue sky, beautiful hanging baskets against the wood. Wood and bricks and pretty pots full of flower, not a rainy patch on those stones.
@busylady I'm not normally an ice cream eater...it has to be very hot for me to enjoy an ice cream,as it is now of course.....I always think home made looks so delicious!!
@jennywren@snowy@willowdragon The sky was so blue I had to capture it this morning, we were sitting out with a coffee so nipped in to get the camera & snapped away. The watering is a big job every night though!!
Yes poor pregnant people - it takes me back - I was the size of a house in a heatwave like this one. Been very nice being on holiday in it although it did rather curtail some of the walks we had planned.
BTW I just got overcome in Waitrose and bought a 'make your own ice cream' book called 'Melt' - last time I checked Nigel was engrossed in it - will have to test it out.

I agree retirement is good!
