Of all the photos I took in Blackpool this one is my favourite.
I just loved the picture of all those little people having a family night out.
All ages enjoying the beautiful late summer evening, taking exercise, laughing, eating chips & all by the side of Blackpools wonderful coast line.
I particularly loved the little family with their arms around each other, something I did not notice when I took the photo.
The screen at the back has been put up in front of the sea to give protection to the crowds expected for the big switch on this Friday. The tracks in the front are tram lines.

Three good things:
1. I have booked my train ticket for the London 365 meet up on the 14th September!
2. Harry is still walking for the papers with not much ill effect to his knee.
3. A clean fridge.
Super shot Pat --,an immediate fav , Love the panoramic view , all those bicycles gives this a nostalgic feel to it !! Although not matchstick men this some how reminds me of Lowrey's paintings !!
@jgpittenger The big switch on of the Blackpool Illuminations Jane. Tomorrow night is the big night, Gary Barlow, Jonathan Ross & others are there to pull the switch to light all the promenade up. lots of tableau's & different working scenes. It runs until the first weekend of November so really extends the holiday season for Blackpool.
@maggiemae No it isn't maggie, I was on the other side of the road & took the shot cropping the top & bottom although I di wonder if that was a mistake at the time but by then it was done...you can see the detail better though. i really liked the way the figures were so small but perfect. Thanks for the fave.
Such a great shot - I had to read all the other comments! I love that pink hue and the bikes are all so clear against the wet? pavement. Love it - fav!
@busylady Thanks Judith & also good eyes as I hadn't realised this is taken on the comedy carpet which is shiny & covered with jokes & sayings by famous people. It is in front of Blackpool Tower itself. Many thanks for the fave too.
This is a great shot with so much to look at. I particularly love that link sky with the scalloped lines of the screen at the back. A fav for me too. Look forward to meeting you on the 14th

I was rather sad to see a huge pile of bikes in a special area at the 'recycling' place when I was taking some of dad's rubbish there today.
Seemed such a waste ......
