The bells were ringing for ages yesterday afternoon in Hawkshead so I walked up to the church & waited for the bride to arrive with her father.
Such a beautiful setting with Fairfield Horseshoe in the background, the bride walked up the steep path on her fathers arm with the bells ringing out. The groom is the Sawry Ferry man.
Three good things:
1.A clean car & a lose fascia fixed.
2. No tea to cook again as we are taking fish & chips to Cathys when we drop some wood off at her house.
3. The roofing man has promised to come this week!!!!!!
What a super rural scene --and so nice seeing the bride walking on the arm of her father --both with such happy smiling faces . and what a beautiful day to top it all !! Such a lively candid shot !!
Got to fav - what a view!!! And lovely to have a local wedding like that - it would be great to be the Sawry Ferry man - I bet you could take a stunning photo everyday without going anywhere else.
You have got good focus to display the smiles on both their faces! The decoration under the fascia on that house is very nice! I'm with you on Who Pays The Ferryman - I'm humming that now!
What a great picture! Do you know the bride? She and her father would love this picture. I googled the Sawry Ferry because I had no idea what you were talking about, and others seemed to know. And I got an answer!!
This is such a lovely shot Pat. I climbed Fairfield in 1982 on a D of E training expedition. I remember vividly I could hardly see in front of my own face! Fav.
That would have been some precious time spent for both father and daughter. I love the smiles on both of their faces. Nice candid with a majestic backdrop.
