Breakfast time. by happypat

Breakfast time.

Just took a quick shot of the dining room this morning before the guests came down.
I don't normally have two tables in the room only adding the extra when I have two different lots in.

Two ladies who own the local Toll Bridge & who come every year & a guy doing a gun dog competition, he is only coming back tonight if he gets through to the next round.

They all had porridge with cream & brown sugar & two of them a full cooked breakfast.

I am out tonight at a Lady Farmers Do so won't be able to comment...trying to keep up during the day!!

Three good things:
1. I have made some biscuits.
2. The men have turned up to mend our roof.
3. It's fine while they are doing it!!!!!
What a nice and welcoming dining room. I would love to try those biscuits :)

Such a warm and delightful scene! Your guests are so pampered and well cared for, Pat. No wonder you have so many repeat visitors.
Hope your roof repair holds even after the crew finishes up. :)

@mcmary @peggysirk Thank you both...I do think lighting has a tremendous effect on the feel of a room....I have lots of table lamps on all the time...when we are in that is!

@judithg The man had a red Land rover Defender & his name was Graeme from Bath...it did fleetingly cross my mind it might have been @jantan husband before I came to my senses. Anyway he rang me around 4.30 to tell me his poor dog had gone the wrong way, fallen in the hedge & been eliminated & he was going home...with his tail between his legs...both of them!!!

So cosy. But porridge with cream AND a cooked breakfast?! I speak as a glutton, but even so that's good going, surely!
October 15th, 2013
I want to come and stay, so inviting, and I love porridge. My dad was English and he made the best porridge!
October 15th, 2013

October 15th, 2013
Lovely intimate shot Pat. One day I am going to book and come and stay. Full English for me!!

Saw this yesterday but no time to comment. You inspired me to have porridge and brown sugar for breakfast this morning - no cream, but still yum!

I honestly couldn't have eaten a cooked breakfast after it tho
October 15th, 2013
This looks very cosy and welcoming.
October 15th, 2013
@happypat Oh shame!! Easy to go the wrong way - I do it all the time. @jantan 's Graham was out 'winning' on the horses I believe - Jan might prefer him to take up gun dog competitions!
