Great Eccleston Christmas Fair today...lots of stalls, fair ground rides, morris dancers, brass band, food, mulled wine & the Christmas tree light switch on by Father Christmas.
He arrived in a horse drawn landau....I must say Father Christmas had grown very tall since last year, he was enormous...the elves must have been feeding him up!!!
All in all it was a very enjoyable afternoon.
Three good things:
1. A very happy day in our village.
2. Biscuits dunked in my tea!
3. Harry & SIL have raised Henry's house off the ground onto some sleepers to keep it from getting damp. He slept out all night as he must have been nervous climbing in but after his food was put inside this morning he went in. We will see what happens tonight...luckily it is quite mild today.
Such a bright and festive shot! Great interaction between S. Nick and the town crier, whom, I assume, will be soon calling out the fact that St. Nick is in town!
Such a super and festive village gathering captured here with the main character in the foreground --- so nice to have such events in the community Pat . Oh dear ,so Henry is rather dubious of the improvement to his abode !! Hope he has the trust in you all to sleep comfortably in his house tonight !
With such prominent guests in the village, one can just feel the vibes of celebration and excitement in this photo. It must have been loud when the one little girl is plugging her ears. Lovely capture.
Well he's obviously a very lucky sheep - I'll keep a look out for his pic which I may have seen but forgotten his name -sorry, Henry!
