Don't stand under the mistletoe with anyone else but me...
A very late post today so no need to comment as I am just keeping my days filled.
I have had no time to do any commenting on anyone else's so don't expect you to comment on mine!!!
Such a busy day & I haven't had a minute...visitors & the house all upside down with me trying to get the tree up & house decorated....what a long job that is & why when I thought I put everything away tidily two years ago is everything in a tangled mess?
Three good things:
1. Jack is officially a Vue employee with unlimited tickets to the cinema...he will shortly be an expert on all things film!
2. I have salvaged one set of tree lights that seem to be working.
3. Only the cards to start on now...& less of those this year if I have my way!!
That is a serious amount of mistletoe. It's about a fiver a sprig on the trendy markets round here. That's like a couple of hundred of quid you've got up there!
@jewelsandbinoculars There's a lot if snogging at Pat's.... Mistletoe is endemic round here but the little devil is always out if reach. Might take my ladder down the road under cover of darkness!!
Yes put my tree up today as well and for the first time ever was organized in putting things away neatly last year so the job in hand wasn't as bad as usual. I love mistletoe and have, for years, tried to rub the seeds on the apple tree to grow my own, so far nothing!
Oh you are funny & made me laugh after a rather trying day...a little mishap with a car put the final blight on the day!!! I have not bought this mistletoe I hasten to add, it was hanging up in the garden centre......I don't think there is a lot of snogging here unfortunately......perhaps on New Years Eve there might be a bit!!!
Putting up the decorations up was a nightmare today & the B&B lady arrived in the middle & the upstairs heating not on...ah well she was happy enough in the kitchen with a cup of tea.
We have the artificial tree up but the main, smaller I must add, real one is still outside . Harry & I have a busy week & I am in Dublin for four days at the end of the week so thought had better get cracking!!
Thank you for all your lovely comments even though I told you not to!! xxxx
Guess what I am humming! Love this bright shot! Oh, blimey, I've forgotten all about Xmas cards and should have got these off particularly to my step sister in Lancaster!
Oh so festive! You are really getting Christmas under way and we are still combining!
Oh well - it will get here no matter whether we are ready or not!
I'll comment without excitation of reciprocation. :) It's a busy time of year, Pat...don't fret about commenting!! I still haven't bought a tree, much less put it up yet. Maybe I'll stop at the tree lot on the way home from the doctor's office today. I have all my gifts wrapped and no tree to put them under. So happy to read that Jack got the job at the cinema!!
