A dreadful day in Lancashire today..lashing rain & gale force winds.
We lit the fire & stayed indoors most of the day.
I loved this bowl & plate I got for Christmas, it's the new Emma Bridgewater pattern called Zinnia...I think it has a rather old fashioned look ....would love some more!!
Three good things:
1. No need to go out.
2. Caught up with Call the Midwife.
3. Lydia fixed my mobile phone alerts & I can now hear my texts.
Sounds like you had it worse than we did today - we headed East to escape the worst. Great day to stay indoors and enjoy your Christmas gifts. But who walks the dog? Poppy had to have her annual bath when we got back. Always a trauma.
I had my eye on the Emma Bridgewater Christmas plates but none left in the sale :0( They do have some gorgeous dog mugs though. Zinnia looks very pretty.
@fueast We never walk the dog Alison...she walks herself. When she wants to go out we just open the door & off she goes then barks when she wants to come in.
Sounds a bit neglectful but she is used to being on the farm so just goes off down the fields just as she has always done. Very glad in this weather!!!
I'll have to look out for this pattern - I can just see my porridge in it! The delight of bringing it out each day will be immeasurable! I had to put my phone on "outdoor" so I can hear its sounds!
Love the bowl and plate with it's beautiful design -- such a pretty and old fashioned design I have just spotted a row of jugs on your shelf --I just love jugs .
I LOVE that china pattern!! So bright and cheerful! Hope your weather improves soon, Pat...it sounds miserable. It was definitely a day to stay tucked in and cozy!
A lovely, homely shot and I love the Zinnia. I use my 'Happiness is a cup of coffee and a really good book' everyday!, but this new design is beautiful.
Oh this looks like a cozy place to be on a rotten day!! It is a very festive pattern - a fun thing to look at and to use!! (Hope you get more - hint hint) I hope Tui is recovering well - I am hoping no news is good news!!
@bpaquette News is excellent Barbara...Tui is in very good health thank you very much...just a scar & dried up stitches to show for it. Check up next Monday.
