A fantastic walk on the promenade at Blackpool this afternoon.
I could hardly speak this morning, my cold has gone straight to my throat & chest so I was coughing almost all night. However I dragged myself outside and my word, I felt so much better for it!
A sunny dry afternoon so lots of people about, I think we should have gone an hour sooner as you could see where the tide had come right across the promenade leaving debris & seaweed all along the front.
A gorgeous Whippet dog in a very smart red jacket caught my eye & reminded me for some reason of this song by Lobo from the year 1971.
Three good things:
1. I am feeling much better today.
2. Went into the pound shop & bought some bits & pieces for a tin I have bought for Max.
3. Stocked up in M&S with easy meals & puddings to help Harry while I am away.
Lovely scene - I love the pop of red drawing one's eye to the little trio on the beach -and such an apt title -- I remember the song -
Glad you are feeling better -- I hope the fresh sea air has blown away all traces of your cold away Pat !
Superb composition, it's nice on close up too. Love the reflections and that pop of red. Love the sight of the waves breaking and the birds on the sand.
A lovely beach photo! The sea air is supposed to be good for chesty colds! Its a good thing too that you are having this now and so will not be susceptible later when you fly to the Land of The Long White Cloud!
Really sorry for the mass reply.......thank you mightily for all your comments & faves for this photo...you are all so good when I have been slacking all night lying on the sofa....coughing again tonight but moving further down so my throat isn't so sore. Why is it you always go worse again at night!!! Many thanks ....much appreciated.
it is a beautiful shot Pat, the whippet / greyhound in it's red coat is perfectly placed in the frame ...the sea looks quite wild and exciting...a top shot from you Pat
Brillianrt shot. Love it. Love the splash of red on the dog's coat. I just love walking along a deserted beach. Not too sure about the weather though.
Glad to hear you are feeling better. I remember winter colds when I lived in the UK.
I love this shot, Pat. Such a wonderful expanse of water making the three figures on the beach seem so small. Marvelous composition! And yea that you are shaking your horrid cold!!! You want to be hale and hearty for that upcoming trip! :)
Glad you are feeling better -- I hope the fresh sea air has blown away all traces of your cold away Pat !
