At last I ventured into the garden to plant all the pots & troughs up. Must be getting old as I am jiggered!
Doesn't help that my knee is very sore today aggravated perhaps by two trips to Preston this week. Must rest it a bit now.
Soil under my nails as I start off wearing gloves but always cast them off pretty soon, there's nothing like getting your hands dirty properly.
Chives in my herb garden at the back door.
Three good things:
1. A job ticked off the long list of things to do.
2. Visit from a friend midday gave us a chance to sit & chat in the sun.
3. Lily has stopped moulting & is beautifully sleek with no hair all over everywhere.
Lovely and a fav. Advil is Paracetomol in American I believe! I've heard that Preston is very bad for knees. Have you had it looked at? I'm the same with gardening - I'm trying to get my nails to a more respectable state by Friday but I will probably be at he wedding with soil under them!
@judithg no I haven't had it looked at....my fault for falling off the chair last Monday so hope it will improve soon...Harry is having his knee injected on Monday...slowly falling to bits in this house!
Wedding next weekend ....lovely ....I love a good proper wedding!
Good for you, Pat. Enjoy! (Our bath is almost never used as we all prefer a shower. I did think of it this week to ease my back - but - then there is the problem of getting out!!)
Super bunch of chives --I do love these in my cooking especially in salads Sorry about your bad knee -I can empathize with you -- rest and have a hot bath and some painkillers -- it does help !! As for the nails ,mine also got the gardening treatment today !!--but -wasn't out too long before my back gave in --Arn 't we a lot of old crocks !!
I almost never garden, can't stand the dirt under my nails, have to keep cleaning them! Takes forever:0) I just love this shot, so bright and fabulous pov;
@happypat So sorry Pat --is it Gall stones ? -- such A terrificly painful condition I believe- Gary had his out a couple of years ago !! Take care Pat !! x
@beryl well I feel a bit of a fraud because although I had trouble in NZ it's not been too bad since then but am going to see what the specialist thinks.
Hey, you and I think alike.This is lovely. I took chives today but didn't post them. I'm having to sit to garden as my knee hurts too. I"m supposed to get a gel put into it to help soon. Hope it works.
Very colorful and nice to have these close to your fingerprints. The knees, yes it is true. The more mature we become the more limited our ability to be flexible, and getting up and down is definitely a challenge.
Nice bright pic.
