Living thatch by happypat

Living thatch

Out for our lunch at the local today with friends.
Loved the beautiful living growth on the roof of the old beer distillery.

Three good things:
1. Been to the physio; he can fix it, damage to my biceps so rest and manipulation.
2. Tuna melt, my favourite lunch out specially with thin fries!
3. I have found a charity shop that takes electrical stuff, my steam cleaner which caused me some of the damage to my arm in the first place, is going!
Such a neat roof - the moss does not damage the shingles?
So good to hear that you will be healed in short order! Nice to know that rest and massage can fix it.
Now patience is required to keep still - that is the hard part!

So glad your shoulder can be fixed !! so not only are you going to get rid of the steam cleaner but give the paintbrush a rest for a while as well !!!!So keep to the plan and I hope it will not be too long until it's
better !!
Now to the photo -- nice capture if I am not mistaken Pat !!-- love old roofs like this I think you will find that not only moss grows on this roof ,but also yellow flowering sedum !! Such an interesting building and glad you enjoyed your lunch !

@farmreporter @padlock @beryl thank you all....apparently this roof grows that plant that has pink flowers......must be beautiful then! The yellow plant seemed to really glow like gold today.....I don't do it justice here.

Ooh well maybe I won't get a steam cleaner then - wasn't it quite new? Lovely roof!

Are those little doggy bowls of water in the foreground? Rest for your arm sounds good!

That's cool! What a great setting!

@judithg brand new Judith ...loved the idea but it was so hard to push around. OK if you have a tiled kitchen floor I think but for my faux ancient wood cushion floor boards it was a mono!

@quietpurplehaze not sure Hazel......I didn't notice them at the time....bit posh for dog bowls maybe but don't know what else? Will look next week.

Love the roof - agree with Beryl - looks like sedum. Hope you're shoulder soon improves - something else we have in common!

Nice place for a relaxing lunch.

What an attractive roof. Is it a deliberate design I wonder? Take it easy.

Fabulous photo!!!
So glad that your shoulder can be dealt with :)

@fueast I asked & apparently it's just a natural growth. It was sp pretty I thought it was purposely planted!

Remind me not to get a steam cleaner! This sort of growth on roofs will damage the tiles under - they will be rotting but maybe it doesn't matter. Makes a great photo anyway.

What a fantastic photo, so much to see. I have been looking at it for ages and still spot more interesting things. Love the tree of life on the wall and the roof is fantastic.
Hope physio sorts out your problems soon. You will have to give up painting and housework for a while.
