The Isle of Man ferry setting off from Heysham & the western mountains of the Lake District were really clear on this sunny day at Clevelys.
Not too happy with this photo as I notice now I have uploaded it that it's quite grainy but I quite like the picture itself.
There were yellow tipping trucks bringing loads of gravel along the base of the sea wall & there seemed to be lots more large boulders along the sea breaks. I think they must be anticipating some high tides.
You continue to fave & comment on my Shard photo so thank you so much....I have replied to some of you when I have had the time but do appreciate every one of your comments.
Three good things:
1. The lost sheepdog Jasper has been found on the Lakeland Fells early this morning, everyone is so relieved.
2. A mixed day of making beds, painting & baking so feel I have done lots with my time today.
3. I had a lie in too! No breakfasts this morning for the B&B Harry made him toast & coffee as he had an early start.
@pinkpaintpot I wondered if that was what it was....I guessed Barrow shipyard good to have your knowledge Linda. I must say I have never noticed it as clearly before.
I think this is beautiful with the pools of water reflecting the sky and the horizontal lines! I will have to investigate the story of Jasper. Your days sound so busy whereas I just wander around dazedly all day with my camera!
@maggiemae ha ha not always maggimae....I was in a bit of a strop because Harry wouldn't make his mind up whether to mow the grass or go to Preston .....I got stuck into the painting while he decided & it went on from there! I sometimes wander round with my camera too!
Well it looks lovely Pat! And you've been busy. I've taken two boxes of books off the shelves but that's as near as I've got to painting. I'm hoping Nigel decides we don't need to paint the ceiling - if so I'll have to wait till the piano's gone.
no reason not to be happy about it Pat, it is fabulous.
Grain in the skies is not uncommon (is this your olympus pen?) and can be emphasised by the fact that your image resolutions are reduced when 365 has adjusted them for displaying to us all on here :)
@phil_howcroft thanks Phil.....I think I played about with it a bit too much too but it is a fact that what seems ok on computer seems grainy & not as good as you thought on 365.
Love that lapis lazuli sea and all the little details of boat, plane, dog etc. My shots also get a grainy look when there is low light and too much digital zoom involved.
