Four of us went to a Christmas Fair at our former neighbours house & afterwards went into Kirkby Lonsdale. We had a potter round the shops & lunch out in the bakery cafe.
Took a walk into St. Marys Church yard to see Ruskins View which I might show you tomorrow .....too much info to look up tonight as I am posting late.
I liked the mid afternoon sun slanting across the graves.
Such a pretty town.
Three good things:
1. Sorry to say my companions were in a forgetful mood & we lost gloves & wallet with money & credit cards inside.....thankfully all traced in the end but a stressful end to the day!
2. Bramble the short haired cat who lives opposite & I am minding while his owners are in London was waiting at the back door for me tonight.
3. The beautiful Lune Valley.
@motherjane it was lovely but that road was were I got done for speeding a couple of years ago...40 nearly all the way...it is beautiful countryside though.
A beautifu light in this shot --A real peaceful scene -- sorry you had rather hassle - but glad that all ended well and Pussy-cat was waiting for you home !
I love pictures like this - the essence of England! The houses are historic, they still have a village green even if it is a cemetery with leaning gravestones! fav
I love the lighting in this shot and the way the house windows look out onto the cemetery. A very English scene. Nicely seen. Good you found all the lost wallets etc.
Lovely light Pat
