This market stall is there every Thursday on the High Street in Garstang. It does a very good trade buying & selling second hand books. There is always someone having a browse even in the winter.
Three good things:
1. I found some Cookshop Bake-O-Glide sheets in the cupboard I had completely forgotten I had....used them this afternoon & what bliss not to have to grease the baking sheets!
2. I have booked a hearing test.
3. Out for a meal tonight.
Thats why the chair is there but she looks so cosy, I don't think she's going to move soon! The focus is good - I can see a few favourite authors there! I presume he can close this stall up somehow? Can you hear me?
The book stalls have gradually gone from Wellington Market -- a shame -- they used to do roaring trade on buy and return, but since the I pads etc-- the trade has diminished ! This one is so colourful and obviously making a worthwhile trade !
@maggiemae yes I can hear you maggiemae.......think I am going to need a hearing aid though! The lady is on one of those buggy thigs, he doesn't provide chairs. This whole stall is put up & taken done again the same day.....lots of work packing all those books away. Doesn't seem worth it when a book is only about £2.50 but each purchase must add up throughout the day. Each section is devoted to a particular type of book, romance , mystery etc
Proper shelves - they look much more appealing. Our market man just has his in boxes. I think you can do quite well selling him books but I tend to send them to charity.
