Alex & I have been to see the final Hobbit film this afternoon.
When we came out we had to cross the road to get my days photo.
Loved the plane vapours in the sky......holidays are on everyone's mind at this time of the year.
I am trying to keep up with commenting but as you can appreciate we are going out & about a bit more than usual so forgive me if I slack a little!
Three good things:
1. Popcorn .....one cup is 31 calories & takes 9 minutes to walk off.....I need to go for a 21 minute walk this evening!
2. Wonderful to see Bilbo Baggins walk over his hill & gaze upon his little village Bag End & remember walking around there myself a couple of years ago.
3. Quite like The Big Allotment Challenge which retuns on TV tonight.
@busylady I would have thought you would have liked that Judith but as a bona fida allotment grower yourself you probably notice all that's wrong & false! Same as us with farming programmes!
Edward wants to go and see The Hobbit. What did you think of it? I'm glad you mentioned the Big Allotment challenge because I didn't know it was starting again so I've just set it to record.
@dh we enjoyed it but you have to have seen the other two previous films. I got a bit muddled up who was fighting who but that's common enough in these complicated film. The sets & special effects were amazing!
I like this photo for the sky trail that goes right across the sky so clearly and for the light on the water. It might not have worked in the camera for these contrasts of light but you have got it beautifully! I don't frequent Hobbit Stories so can't comment.
Great sky and composition. I'm trying to work out how I feel about contrails. It seems hard to keep them out of sky shots these days. I sort of wish they weren't there.
Lovely silhouette-ish. And a wonderful blue sky! I love the contrails. After 9-11 when all air traffic was banned, the skies were eerily silent, and no contrails. The only planes we heard were military.
@bpaquette must have been quite earily frightening Barbara......I am going to NY in March so really looking forward to seeing Ground Zero...will be very moving.
Great skies and shadows. I missed that movie as I stayed home with Connor, but no regrets! And you're right about holiday plans......Allan was checking out flights to Melbourne today and Kiev plans already mentioned.
Lots of saving etc in the months ahead!
I know you are loving the time you have with your gorgeous granddaughter, Pat! Commenting would be the last thing on my mind. I think you're doing an amazing job keeping up with your photo posting. Love the feel and the tones in this fabulous composition.
Lots of saving etc in the months ahead!
I use a butter spray with no calories on popcorn and think of it as a very low cal snack.
