All the family at our house today.
Everyone seemed to have a brilliant New Years Eve; all very late to bed including our young visitor, I thought she was safe in bed but only discovered she was still out!
Bit of an adventure of a police car parked on the main road. We could see the police man walking up and down the road looking for something and when we turned into our lane there was a smashed up car.
He had smashed into the hedge and there was debris all over the road.
The driver had hidden the car down our road & had been trying to change the tyre but seen the police car go past and scarpered!
Harry walked down to tell the policeman the car was down our lane. We managed to squeeze past & before we got into bed the breakdown truck had been and removed it.
This is Lydia, she & her boyfriend Matthew had a meal out at Guys last night - the clever balloon man made her this fabulous crown.
Three good things:
1. A brilliant night dancing and eating.
2. My voice has gone today but I can still make myself heard!
3. Lily loved her Christmas present!
Sounds as if all of you had a great NYE and what an end to the evening /morning in meeting up with the police .Lovely capture of Lydia in her balloon crown !
They are so clever these balloon making people! Never seen one as good as this! One similar event happened to us a few years ago - a cop car was chasing a car down our winding country road and he shot into our driveway trying to avoid the cop! John accosted him and made sure the cop knew that we did not know the miscreant!
Excellent balloon hat! A very efficient police service in Lancashire. And we have matching lampshades Pat - we have three of those on the landing - excellent taste! Happy New Year to you all!
@judithg I love them don't you....like minds! This one has owls on it & we have one with wild boar too in the sitting room. Happy New Year Judith. No time at the moment but trying to keep up!
What a brilliant balloon hat. We have a balloon man here in Nelson Bay who makes creative balloon hats for the children, but I don't think he has attempted anything quite like this.
What an exciting evening you have had.
Sounds like a fun and exciting entrance into 2015 in and around the Knowles homestead!! Beautiful Lydia looks like a New Year's princess with her fabulous and festive balloon crown. Happy, happy New Year to you and yours, Pat!
I hope you and your family have a wonderful 2015.
What an exciting evening you have had.
Nice bit of new year tartan too on Lydia's outfit
