Babies by happypat

Babies

A few hours in Blacpool today & my word it was cold & damp!
Lunch in M&S which is always quite nice, bought some food in the food department....the freezer is filling up fast again!
On the way home we called at the pet shop to get bird seed & we bought Lily a new cushion.
There were lots of babies in cages all looking in beautiful condition, a credit to the shop!
These were a variety of baby rabbits but I have forgotten the proper name of them.
They were very small......too small to be away from their mum I thought.
Not too good clarity but I thought they looked sweet!

I intended to call in at Waterstones to check out Wolf Hall but it was all closed up after the terrible accident where the manager lady got killed last week by the falling sign...such a tragedy!

Three good things:
1. My front door key has been returned by my renegade B&B together with a £10 note!
2. The little bit of overnight snow has gone!
3. Proper chips for tea!
Bep
They do look sweet, Pat.

Oh so sweet and little !
January 21st, 2015
Their cute but I worry about rabbits. They very rarely get looked after properly. How is "snow gone" a good thing?? I was desperate for it to stay around until I got back from work!
January 21st, 2015
Oh dear. They're cute. Bad grammar alert.
January 21st, 2015
They are cute. Still hot and dry here. Looks like we might be heading to a drought
January 21st, 2015
@gijsje @beryl Aren't they so cute.....really very small & twitching away as they slept.
January 21st, 2015
Kittens or kits - these are so cute.
January 21st, 2015
Very sweet. Some chips and no snow sound just the ticket!
January 21st, 2015
@fueast easy done I am always miss spelling here for some reason! I do agree about rabbits for sale, pretty much sure that the poor little things get neglected after the first flush of enthusiasm....anything like our family mum ends up looking after them!
January 21st, 2015
@deliad The heat sounds rather nice to us Delia but our turn will come!!
January 21st, 2015
They are cute... but we see them as a bit of a pest.. they do make a bit of a mess about the farm.. Numbers really got out of control last year during the drought so hope they stay controllable this year if it gets any dryer... though I guess these are not your common old garden/farm variety... I was hoping for a snow photo from you... next time...
January 21st, 2015
@julzmaioro no snow after all Julz, the little bit we had this morning disappeared rapidly thank goodness. Good for photos but Lydia had to,drive a fair way to work this morning so glad it wasn't slippy for her.
Rabbits are a pain I agrree, we have lots lolling about in our garden under the trees. They just lie there full length the cheeky rascals although Harry saw one with swollen eyes a week or two ago so they might have miximitosis.
January 21st, 2015
Aww. so cute and soft!
January 21st, 2015
@jocasta Thank you Jocasta .....I couldn't believe how small these were!,
January 21st, 2015
Proper chips for tea. Yum. Though hubby on diet so none in our house....
January 21st, 2015
@newbank so am I Ruth but I didn't have egg with mine just prawns & salad!
January 21st, 2015
These are so sweet!
January 21st, 2015
Little sweethearts! I didn't think they still did pet- shops, although I don't know where I thought people bought their pets from. Gone are the days when I used to walk past shops with litters of kittens/puppies in the window, begging to be taken home!
January 21st, 2015
Great shot of the kits
January 21st, 2015
they look so sweet
January 21st, 2015
@busylady No kittens or dogs Judith only fish, rabbits, rats & guinea pigs there today & all beautifully clean & in good condition.
January 21st, 2015
@cejaanderson @ceilidh Yes they were sweet but I wasn't tempted!!
January 21st, 2015
@juliac Thanks Julia.....they were very fluffy!
January 21st, 2015
So sweet... I wanna peek in and cuddle. :)
January 21st, 2015
Cute way to display them! Baby anythings are always so adorable. Then they grow up and become part of the family even if they are not cute any longer. That would have been a bit worrying - missing the front door key!
January 21st, 2015
Pretty capture of them.
January 21st, 2015
@maggiemae it was maggimae.....I had taken to putting the chain on!
January 21st, 2015
@gailmmeek They were rather fascinating Gail but were blissfully unaware of any one peeking in!
January 21st, 2015
@jennywren sweet aren't they but not in my house thank you! Too many pets with long tails in the lens for my liking!
January 21st, 2015
A lovely capture. So sweet.
Real chips for tea !!! Yummy!
January 21st, 2015
Cute!
Once upon a time we were given a baby rabbit when Jonathan had a leg in plaster.......we called it Willow but Allan said it should have been called 'Fang'......enough said. It came to a sad end thanks to a local fox!
Glad your key was returned!! A bit worrying otherwise!
January 21st, 2015
@jtookey150 You can't beat proper chips can you Jean? I used to cook oven chips after my chip pan was thrown out but they were never the same!
January 21st, 2015
@sarah19 rabbits can be surprisingly vicious I think....our kids had one that was really bad tempered although I don't think it was handled enough! The guinea pigs were sweeter!
January 21st, 2015
How sweet. These little babies look so soft and cozy in their little nest. Hope they eventually find proper homes and are well cared for.
Funny how the freezer fills back up so quickly after a clean out...mine is looking like I never cleared anything out at all.
January 21st, 2015
Cute shot!
January 21st, 2015
@peggysirk same here Peggy......no ice though
January 21st, 2015
@kwind thank you Kim.......toilet rolls do come in handy!
January 21st, 2015
I saw it on the news about the lady at waterstones such a tradegy.
January 21st, 2015
Awwwww. Just awwwwww.
January 21st, 2015
They do look very small. Just got an email off my sister. Was heading for the Pennines yesterday and had to turn back because of heavy snow. Ugh.
January 21st, 2015
So cute. What a pity you're so far away. I have a partly read copy of Wolf Hall I would be happy to give you. I simply couldn't get into it. But then my knowledge of English history is a bit shaky and I kept getting the characters mixed up.
January 21st, 2015
@kwiksilver this iscexactlybwhybinwanted to look at the proper book version Gillian. I have read the sample from Kindle & I enjoyed it but have heard so many people say it starts good then they give up I didn't want to buy it until I had checked it out a bit more....I thin you have just put another nail in its coffin! The TV series Wolf Hall started tonight & it looks really good so might just settle for that! Life is too short to struggle although I will look next time I am in a book shop! Thank you!
January 21st, 2015
@onewing Yes they have had more than us...higher up of course, thick in Sheffield too!
January 21st, 2015
@pinkpaintpot It was a massive sign that fell off Linda...the whole width of the shop....I was shocked! Thought we might have to use the other entrance but the whole shop was cordoned off & shut. So sad.
January 21st, 2015
@bpaquette Aren't they just!
January 21st, 2015
So sweet and cute. Lovely capture
January 21st, 2015
What a totally sweet capture. So cute and cuddly! Love your story also. ;)
January 22nd, 2015
They are too cute
January 22nd, 2015
They are adorable. We used ti have loads of rabbits in the fields around here but they all suffered an untimely end when we had really bad floods. however they seem to creeping back I've seen the odd one around. They usually escape to higher ground if the floods are 'normal.' If they are more serious they have nowhere to go.

CK
Too cute - adorable little chappies
January 22nd, 2015
Sweet - but like @fueast says they are the most abused pet. They are not actually easy pets for children I don't think - guinea pigs are better. Anyway Blackpool - freezing I bet and Waterstones accident? Sounds dreadful!
January 23rd, 2015
I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one to still visit real real book shops rather than the online variety. Aren't we retro? Although I much preferred the tv adaptation to the book, which is unusual.
January 25th, 2015
Aw, these are so cute!
