We were getting the ballroom ready for the nights do & I had to go into the kitchen briefly & spied all these plates stacked up ready for the evening meal.....made a rather interesting photo! I was intrigued to find out they had all the veg plated up ready to add the turkey.......the secrets of the kitchens!
I was very careful not to let them catch me taking this photo....I think they would have bee slightly nervous!
Three good things:
1. No cooking.......the most delicious food too!
2. Helpful & pleasant staff!
3. Chatting & laughing with my two fellow room mates after lights out!
A great find and capture " Miss Marples " !! -It's nice to find out how the wheels turn in these big Kitchens ! I love this shot -- all those layers and repetition and a hint of colour ! Sounds as if you had a wonderful weekend --time to put your feet up now !!
I was quite shocked at this photo......not sure why. I had the old fashioned notion of old fashioned playing up......I suppose they do it like this & wheel them into big ovens. Must say the food was very hot & deliciious!
Well spotted. Makes an excellent pattern. Good that you weren't spotted. You wouldn't want to be caught by a mad chef with a large cleaver in his hand would you. ha ha.
@judithg I have no idea Judith but they must have large ovens & wheel it all in.....everything was really hot........over three hundred of us so no mean feat!
@happypat@judithg i wonder if they give them a blast in a microwave before serving ....fabulous spot Pat, a sneeky shot revealing the 'secrets' of the catering industry (perhaps secrets we would not want revealed)
They can't keep it hot - it would overcook! Amazing shot - always wondered what happened in the kitchen! In this case it looks like a one choice menu. But food just sitting .....not sure if I like this! A surreptitious photo!
