A cold coming on today, sore throat & a runny nose so I have spent the afternoon watching The Quiet Man on TV.
I have never seen it before & a friend gave me a copy as part of my Christmas present.
Today I start year 5 of my 365 project, four whole years doing a photo a day. It is part of my life now although I do have spells of wanting to give up, on the whole I do enjoy everything about it. The community of 365 project is the best part for me though. Thank you all for your lovely comments and support over the last four years, some of you have been with me since the very start - we have stamina!!
Well lane, changeable skies.
Three good things:
1. Our eldest grandchildren in NZ William and Alex were born 22 years ago today.
2. Sewing Bee on tonight, I am no sewer but love watching it.
3. Cathy & Lydia coming for tea.
@cejaanderson thanks Jane ...I feel ok just a runny nose & sore throat but that's all....a good nights sleep & I will be fine! Just using it as an excuse to do nothing really!!
Spectacular shot, wonderful light - just what you need to cheer you up. Hope you're not poorly for too long. Thanks for the reminder about the sewing bee - must record as I'm out tonight.
I like this shot with the stormy light. Hope your cold doesn't come to much and congrats for completing year 4. Like you, I enjoy the community as much as the photography, Pat.
Lovely shot Pat .., and well done on 4 years, .. such dedication but I think I can see myself sticking to it as well.. as you say it is just a great community .. LOvely light on the houses and skeletal tree....
Congrats on 4 years, I'm limping towards finishing my first year at start of March. A poorly littlest meant no photos again today, he has a runny nose too and is now covered in a rash, though right now the calpol has kicked in again and he has appeared to say he is hungry. Hope you feel better soon and enjoy year 5.
@newbank thank you Ruth.......it's so hard to keep up for you young ones with young children & anyone with jobs too....easy for me as I have more time at home.......hope your little ones keep well....soon be spring!!
@happypat it was easier when I started and he was 1, slept 2 hours a day and was happy going for walks in the pushchair, a year later he doesn't nap and doesn't go in the pushchair much.... Next sept when he does 2 and a half full days at pre school I'll need something to fill my time when I miss him!!! Times and seasons of life.
That does look like a threatening sky! A good day/evening to stay tucked up inside and nurse that cold. Hope you feel better soon, Pat!
A very happy birthday to your first born grands. Alex made it home just in time to celebrate.
And congratulations on the start of Year #5!!! There's something too wonderful about this community to leave it.
A lovely light on the trees against that dark and threatening sky -- Congrats. on completing 4 years -- this beautiful 365 experience and community soon becomes a way of life and at times it is a bit of a struggle , giving up would mean too many withdrawal symptoms wouldn't it Pat !
Sorry to hear of your cold -- hope you will feel better soon take it easy and look after yourself !! xx
@peggysirk Wel odly enough my cold seems to have disappeared Peggy! Thank you for your lovely comments & yes the traveller arrived home in the nick of time!
@beryl Thank you Beryl .........I feel much better tonight so perhaps It will be gone in the morning! The pleasure of all friends company on here makes up for any hassle in posting I think Beryl!
Hope you carry on feeling better Pat. I'm just back from 2hrs agility with the dogs. We were outside so I'm filling myself up with hot soup to try and thaw out! Five years is so impressive I've only done seven months. Love this image with the contrast of the stormy sky and the sun.
@thistle thanks Joyce....well you are doing extra things with your dogs so have less time than me....... Even if I am busy with B&B I am still at home! I can't give up.....family look at it to see what I'm up to!
Well done on completing year 4 Pat. The 365 community is what keeps me going. I am privileged to be a long time 365 friend of yours :)
Hope the cold gets better
Fabulous colors and lighting in this image. Love that tree! And great sky! Take of yourself and what an achievement! You must have been one of the pioneers? I'll be starting my 3 rd year in a couple of weeks and still love it as well.
Fabulous shot, love the lighting against the dramatic sky. Starting year 5, wow, congratulations.
I carry on to because my sister and friends in the UK check out my 365 to see what I am up to in Australia. Plus too I am addicted and I thoroughly enjoy the friendships made on this site.
@teiko. The White house at the bottom is ours Emilie......the lane goes round to the right past ours & ends a bit further on. Eleven houses down Well Lane. Thanks.
What a threatening sky, love the tree against it. Bet you can't believe where those 22yrs have gone, re grandchildren. I looked back to my 365 start and I will be starting year 5 this June, unbelievable. I haven't posted everyday since ending my first year though.
Lovely wintry look down Well Lane - I so remember looking for that name! Congratulations for your 5th year, Pat - you could call yourself a Senior for 365 - not in age but in experience!
Gorgeous photo! It's been a while since we were down your way but it always brings a smile! And the years do go quickly on 365. I can hardly believe how they have passed. I'm still enjoying it so much and do miss it when things are busy and I don't manage to peep in and post on a daily basis!

Thank you both.......I think you aren't far behind me Hazel? We seem to have been round for a long time!
I'm about 2 months into year 4! (I've definitely been around for a long time now - and not just on 365!!)
A very happy birthday to your first born grands. Alex made it home just in time to celebrate.
