Cheating a bit here because obviously I did not take this photo......a little late for Valentines Day too but couldn't resist!
My Kiwi grandchildren Max on the left & Finn on the right, coming over the airways on Skype to show me this card, isn't it gorgeous!
The best Valentine card I have seen this year! The only Valentine card I have seen this year!!
They have their other grandma from Manchester staying from today & are spending the week at a seashore beach house at Whangamata on the Corromandel ....just where I was this time last year...so envious!
There will be lots of sand castles built!!
Three good things:
1. Rice pudding in the oven....love the skin!
2. Hopefully Preston North End will beat Manchester United tonight at Deepdale to go through to the quarter finals of the FA Cup.....not impossible!!
3. Harry has a master plan with chicken wire to deter the doves from building nests above my car in the garage!
What gorgeous happy little boys Pat. So proud of their card. Well you had one more Valentine card than me!
Are these the the grandchildren that are visiting you later this year?
You are a well loved and adored grandmother, Pat! Such little pink cheeked cuties!! Little Finn is growing like a weed. I know you are counting the days until they arrive in May!!!
@peggysirk Thanks Peggy......we are counting the days & counting the days until our other NZ family come over too...Alex's parents...our eldest son & wife who are hopefully coming out in May too! A busy time just hope we have some decent weather!
That's just absolutely fabulous, Pat! Ray likes rice pudding but I don't make it because I hate it - and the skin is the most disgusting part!!!!!!!!!!!! (Like you, he does not think so!!)
@pandorasecho Takes a bit of getting used to the different sexes Dixie...I am so lucky to have four grandsons but also two lovely delightful granddaughters! Thank you for commenting!
Ooh ,Pat how very delightful !! You must be "chuffed to bits" with this gorgeous Valentine message from the two most wonderful young men in your life !
Sorry about the messy pigeons --I hope Harry can solve the problem for you ! -I felt quite guilty putting my Mr Pigeon on my page -- but I am lucky as I know they can make a mess--the car is on the front while all the bird feeding is in the back garden and I never see Mr P at the front of the house
@beryl The doves are lovely Beryl & epwe love having them around...more & more if them, we have loads! They try & nest on the roof trusses in our open garage over my car. They drop straw & muck all over the bonnet & not just one laying they breed like rabbits....we have loads of them lolling about sunbathing too! We are trying to put chicken wire in the places they build their nests to discourage them! Hope it works! Your Mr P wouldn't be so thoughtless!
How cute is this?!! Just gorgeous. Finn is looking very cheeky there. I'd love to give those knees a squeeze - I can't resist them! Is it the first time they've both been here? Max will have a whale of a time with all the farms around you. I'll put in an order for sunshine - May is always nice - exam time!
@judithg Yes true always good at exam time! Max has been before when he was seven months so won't remember. They are coming as he starts school in August so doing the rounds before they are tied up with holidays! Littke fat knees....Finn hasn't been too well this last few weeks & is suffering from ear infections, he has to have grommets fitted. Poor little man was in real pain the other day but looks cheerful enough here.
@happypat Oh dear - we went through all that. Both ours had grommets fitted - I hated the anaesthetic bit but it's only a little job and makes a huge difference.
You are so good at replying to all comments Pat - don't feel you have to do it to mine all the time, please! I just enjoy whats happening in your day. Have you thought about getting a dovecote? I just love those and years ago - over 40, when we bought our first property, I loved the dovecote in the garden and said yes, we will buy this one! When we shifted in, the dovecote had gone!
@maggiemae 'they kept it......that was mean! All the littke doves would be homeless or perhaps they went with the dove cote! Woukd solve the problem of the nesting!
Just been watching our football team Lreston play Manchester United in the cup tie...got beaten 3/1 but they cheated! , LOL too much rolling around faking attack! That's our story anyway!
@jtookey150@kwind@gijsje I am getting muddled who I have relied to....mind not on the job tonight ....too much TV to watch! Thank you all so much for commenting on my lovely boys.
