The little family who were staying over for B&B last night......dad & mum & two boys who didn't mind me taking their photo at the breakfast table.
As soon as they had gone more booked in for two nights....all go this week!
Three good things:
1. A visit from my niece this afternoon with her seven month old twin girls.
2. A talk with #1 son in NZ this morning for well over an hour.
3. Some pancake mixture left over for tonight!
Love this shot, Pat! Such a sweet looking family and a wonderfully cozy breakfast setting! It must be fun hosting guests like these. And more to follow? You are rocking at the B&B!
A mass thank you I'm afraid but can't say much different to each of you except thank to everyone ......I am glad you like it enough to comment.
I have bee doing B&B since 1992 here & at the other farm so am well used to it by now. I do enjoy having people to stay & some regulars have been coming for years, almost like family.
I just do it when I feel like it, if I am away I am away but everyone else seems to have given up around the area so I have had a bit of a rush over the last six months.
To all of you who have visited you will recognise this room @busylady@sarah19@maggiemae & future 365ers ....plus I am a member of 365 because of @sarah19 who introduced me to this project! Thank you all!!
I didn't go into this room, I don't think, Pat, just your main room with the Aga. Been doing this for 23 years! Wow! I got brassed off after 12 years! I think you are more socially skilled l than I am. The little heater here looks warm and welcoming but wonder how the pot of flowers on top survives!
Hard work all this B&B stuff - if only they'd stay in the same sheets as each other! Look like a nice family - half term shananigans - wished we'd booked something - everybody got colds and being lethargic again but Easter will be revision. Aargh!
@maggiemae Yes I think younare right now I think about it maggiemae......this room is through the kitchen door into the hall by the stairs.
Poinsettia on the heater only sits there while the table is laid at other times it's on the table. There is no heat coming from this heater today , it's just lit up to look cosy. The plant is doing so well as its one Lesley & Brian bought me before Christmas so lasting well! I do like doing B&B & I like the money even better!
What a cosy scene. I would love to stay at your b&b. Love the framed photo on the wall, who is that, he looks quite a character.
Love the teapot and the tea cosy too. Everyone here smiles at me here because we have a teapot with a tea cosy.
@onewing Thanks Babs...the old chap,is Harrys grandfather.....they had seventeen or eighteen children...some died & his grandmother died soon after the last child was born. There is no picture of her!! Tea cosy is essential although I prefer my tea made straight in the mug....if it goes even a tiny bit cooler I dont like it!
Isn't your poinsettia doing wonderfully too!!
