Well I said I wasn't going to post any more NY shots but here I am again!
It's wet & dreary outside & I haven't moved anywhere so why would I want to go outside with my camera to take a wet flower when I have more NY photos?
It was such a fabulous opportunity for exciting photos how could you not take a dreary one.....makes such a difference from wet fields!
Three good things:
1. Nothing to do!
2. No breakfasts this morning, we have no one booked in for Easter!
3. I finished Girl on a Train sitting in bed this morning with the blanket on & a cup of tea!
You really have made the most of your trip and got some great shots in NY! Definitely more interesting than a wet flower. As you know, I'm a great flower fan but I'm starting to move away from them a bit.
@quietpurplehaze Thank you Hazel.....I do,like flowers & some shots are just amazing but for me it's all street & people! Good job we are all different! I feel bad sometimes that lovely people who are real good photographers don't get a follow from me simply because they like nature & I am not that into it. I think it's probably that I have been surrounded by country & farming & it's simply the change!
Well captured , Love to see all the yellow cabs and the hustle bustle of the NY street and it's tall buildings -- A far cry from your beautiful rural sceneries of home
Have been following your NY shots, although sorry havnt got to commenting. This is one of my favourites as it just says NY to me with all those yellow cabs and the great street view.
Good that you could get into the middle of the road to take this shot with the tall buildings and the six lanes of traffic all going the same way! Must have been on that high walk you did! Just think of the noise, though compared with the quiet and peaceful sound of the English countryside (hopefully not too many tractors and chain saws)!
@maggiemae hi maggiemae....it looks like I was in the middle of the road but I was actually on the front seat of the hop on hop off bus! Good view hey?
@susiemc@helly31 thank you both, glad you liked these photos! @jennywren thanks Jen......I think it's one of my favourites too....I have enjoyed putting a bit of HDR on the street shots.
So glad you chose this photo over a wet flower shot. I am not really a flower person either but having said that there are some spectacular flower photos on 365. Not really my scene though. This photo tells a story and I like that. A flower looks arty but it doesn't really tell a story for me.
I love the hustle bustle of this shot and the fact that you can just see the reflection of the bus that you are riding on, it just adds to the story. Brilliant.
Super capture Pat. This is NY it couldn't be anywhere else. I agree with you about street shots and flowers. I have posted a lot of flowers lately. I usually do when I haven't got anything else. Today may well be another!! I couldn't live in a big city though 3/4 days and I need to escape:-)
