I went into Kendal today to pick up something for Cathy.
Kendal is a lovely town, the gateway to the Lake Disrict & most of the buildings are of Lakeland stone & slate.
I took this above Booths car park & I liked the view over the roof tops to the far hills.
Three good things:
1. Listening to a lovely CD that Jack compiled for me of various classical pieces that he picked out....all of them are lovely.
2. A good walk about among the narrow street & alleyways.
3. Little Finn our youngest Kiwi grandson has had grommets put in his ears this morning......hopefully he will have no more ear infections!
Really nice composition and good in b&w. You've reminded me of my dad making compilations of classical music for family members, only then it was on tapes.
This almost could be Cornwall! Lovely narrow streets and stone walls! Love the B&W treatment - so good for buildings. Jack is repaying you for what you do for him - would be a great CD being different pieces! I've got several I have done for myself and play in the car.
So charming! This looks like a scene from a movie. I love it!
Poor little Finn...I hope the grommets (we call them 'tubes' here) do the trick and he has no more suffering from ear infections!
PS Grommets a godsend for both ours though Rachel had to have her eardrum repaired because one wouldn't fall out - worth watching for. Actually the repair failed twice & the surgeon said it's because she's got a structural problem in her ear - a bit of a nuisance but better than the glue ear she had so badly (and come to of it that's probably why it didn't fall out!)
@judithg it's a lovely town Judith I could very happily live there myself. Interesting about the grommets, I have been talking to Finn & Max tonight & Finn looks fine again thank goodness. Glad they have had it done before that long flight! Good to hear of some happy results too.
CD.
