The Crucible in Sheffield is the venue every year for the Snooker World Championships.
It is taking place over last week & this week.
Jack is a good snooker player so is very interested in the whole proceedings & has been taking the opportunity in any spare time he has between lectures to watch all the interviews & even managed to get a ticket on Saturday night to watch Ronnie O'Sullivan play Mathew Stevens.
Today he had his photo taken clockwise from top left Steve Davies, John Parrot, with the winners cup, a shot from inside the venue Saturday night and lastly with Barry Hawkins the current world number five.
Three good things:
1. Jack sent me today's photo. I had nothing else as I have been busy, he saved the day!
2. 24 pillow cases plus sheets ironed this afternoon
3. All the children from the lane came round tonight with a survey....one of the groups homework! Team effort!

Thank you all so much....yes Jack was really pleased to actually meet everyone. Sorry no good at commenting tonight I am shattered!
@fueast I think his then girlfriend lived in Preston didn't she.....I think he married her but now sadly divorced. He was very big celebrity in his day so you would be quite chuffed!
My father played snooker right up until a few weeks before he died. He watched on tv so all these names are familiar to me. Luck Jack to be there. @newbank sounds like you have my soup recipe. I seem to have lost it because my last two lots of soup have been unusually delicious.
Shattered not sheeted, Pat tonight after all that ironing? Not surprised. Hope its all worth it! You haven't got a stray laundry down your lane have you? I'm looking up Crucible now to find out about it!
@maggiemae Yes sheeted too Julz..have recovered a bit now after a bit of a kip in front of the fire........been busy all day today...just so happens have been really busy with B&B just while Harry is laid up. Quietened down now thank goodness!
Well done Jack !! He must have been thrilled with his evening and having these photos taken .Thanks Pat for your concern and good wishes . I do not envy you of all the ironing !! --but a job well done at !
Fabulous collage. I used to love watching snooker on the TV in UK, they don't have it on tele here.
My, Steve Davis is looking old. I must have lived in Australia a long time.
