In the fields below our house they are ploughing all the fields ready to plant 90 acres of maize.
I love it when I can see all the fields beautifully neat & newly ploughed, so much tidier than the bare expanse of unkempt winter grassland.
You can also see a few of the sheep & lambs grazing in our field.
Three good things:
1. A very new & welcome Princess who looks very sweet as all babies do.....congratulations to the new dad & mum.
2. I have bought an iPhone & got a good contract with my original network.
3. My friend delivered a fantastic cake filled with jam & custard.
Beautiful views across the landscape and we're so fortunate to live with open and fertile countryside around us.
The farmers have been busy up here too.
Great shot going to be good to see the progress of the crop.. is that seagulls around the plough..? yes Congrats to the new parents.. oh and lucky you on the cake...
Kate delivered a princess and your friend delivered a cake! Sounds delicious - the cake, that is! Good to see the work in the fields and the neat hedges and fences!
What a a lovely scene, love the different layers. Our countryside doesn't look as neat as this.
I wonder what the new princess is going to be called. Elizabeth I think has been used too much, Diana may be a second name but not the main name maybe, Alice (after Philip's mother) might not be a good idea as she was a bit of a fruit loop. Charlotte sounds good to me. We will have to wait and see.
@onewing Alice is top of the list then Charlotte, then Elizabeth.......Diana is in there too.......I think we will hear tomorrow. I like Elizabeth best I think.....very rarely used here now.
@happypat Be interesting to find out. I wonder how Phil would react if the name they chose was Alice. He tried most of his life to forget about his rather "odd" mother. I think she suffered from schizophrenia.
Such a beautiful patchwork of natural colors. I love this shot!
Exciting news about the arrival of the new little princess. I'm betting on Diana Elizabeth as the name.
I think you'll love your new iPhone.
The fields here have just been harvested. Two ends of the spectrum. You must never get tired of this view. Congratulations for the new princess. We woke up to the news here and she was the lead story on the news.
No ploughing round here. All either being grazed or grown for hay. Apart from the rape that is. I love to see freshly ploughed fields they look so cared for somehow!
