Can I have a bit? by happypat

Can I have a bit?

This is the scene pretty much every morning as Harry eats his breakfast.
Reading the morning paper while eating cornflakes & there is Lily tapping his arm to remind him she is there!

She knows he is a soft touch!

Three good things:
1. Our £60 cheque from United Utilities has arrived. Compensation for having to boil our water for over a month.
2. Jack has sent for some Trip Advisor cards for guests to review if they so wish. I have strict instructions to put one in each room which I have duly done.
3. Sharon our travel counsellor has told me today that she has booked us seats upstairs on the A380 for one leg. I thought immediately we had got upgraded but sadly not! We can pretend as we climb the stairs!
Where are you flying to? I'm solo flying next week with littlest....

Your Bed and Breakfast sounds absolutely delightful. It would be a great weekend break for my husband and I. Not too far from home but far enough.
September 18th, 2015
@motherjane you would be very welcome Jane! X
September 18th, 2015
@newbank we have booked our flights to NZ next February Ruth. Your little one will be very excited to go on a proper plane......have a wonderful time if I don't catch you before...plenty of pictures if you have the time!
September 18th, 2015
@motherjane I'm going one day too! Or I might just move in permenately!
September 18th, 2015
@happypat yep camera coming with me. Im V torn leaving Sammy behind to join my family in menorca for a week.... Littlest was v excited but is poorly with a virus at present so we're all tired out. NZ exciting! Long flights though.
September 18th, 2015
Sammy will be at school I imagine...oh dear he will be a bit sad! I didn't know you came from Menorca......you will be looking forward to seeing family...enjoy!
September 18th, 2015
@newbank btw you are all very welcome too...I would even get the camp beds out fir you thigh I have vowed not to get them out again! I have a family of four in for two nights, children are six & three, here for a christening & the illuminations.
September 18th, 2015
Maybe @newbank and myself could come? Ditch the family and the three of us go off with cameras ... sounds ideal lol x
September 18th, 2015
@happypat I don't. My side of the family planned a family holiday. We don't get all together very often for in June. Stephen and hubby we're going to come. Then just when we were going to book it my sister announced she was having a baby that week! A few months later got rearranged for now. Too soon to take sammy out of school and hubby no hols left so just me and benji. The nearer it gets the more I'm torn between be hood to spend time with my family but leaving spammy for a week seems a huge huge wrench.
September 18th, 2015
@motherjane sounds a plan!
September 18th, 2015
Lovely scene Pat. The problem with being upgraded id that you never want to travel any other way but the added expense makes your eyes water!!
September 18th, 2015
Haha, cute!
September 18th, 2015
@newbank Must be Ruth.....it will be spoiling the holiday for you & of course as it gets nearer the worse it will be. Once you are away it will be fine though.......is Sammy staying somewhere where he will get a bit spoilt...you will have to make a big thing of him doing something special with daddy or grandparents. Even Skype might be a bit dodgy when you are in another country & far away. Let's hope he is feeling a big boy & of course he must have a really special present!
September 18th, 2015
@motherjane @newbank Yes why not we could have a day with the cameras!
September 18th, 2015
@thistle Well that is the exact reason we have never upgraded Joyce, I would rather spend the money on something more lasting. Would like to try one day though......in the future when we get older! We find the seats fine but then we are quite smallish. Doing shorter legs this time & staying over in transit lounge, Harry's idea.....I would personally rather get it over with although the fourteen hour leg is a killer.
September 18th, 2015
@happypat we leave 5.30am next sat, he is going to london with his grandparents and daddy to go to the science museum and natural history museum by train which he is very excited by. Yes a special present!! He's at home with daddy who won't work away during the week. The last day of the week is an inset day and his best mates mum is going to take him and her out for the day so he will get some treats!
September 18th, 2015
This is a brilliant shot Pat. I love it.
September 18th, 2015
Ha great shot. Our cat Tau knows Farmer George is a soft touch aswell. You are getting closer to the flash seats so they may just slip you in.
September 18th, 2015
@julzmaioro Well I thought that too Julz, you never know!
September 18th, 2015
@susiemc Thanks Sue.
September 18th, 2015
Wonderful capture!! My dog Finlay taps me on the leg when I am eating - always living in hope!! LOL!!
September 18th, 2015
A lovely homely shot A fav btw thank you for your comments Pat so sorry I have not had time to make time for 365 but now I have caught up . JHust going to watch the rugby now
September 18th, 2015
@snowy Yes we are sitting watching.....six weeks of excitement! I have been armature with 365 but we have got other things to do! When we have been doing it as long as we have you can take liberties!
September 18th, 2015
@pamknowler Theybarecsuch good company & they all know which one to sit beside! Lily never sits near me much! She is on Harry's knee now as he watches the rugby.
September 18th, 2015
what a sweet shot - Fav
September 18th, 2015
@happypat We were upgraded by the airline, for free, when we went to NY and it was so comfortable A friend was given a free upgrade going to LA and on the way back she was seated by the toilet door! She said it was her punishment for having such a comfortable flight out:-)
September 18th, 2015
@thistle Oh dear funny.....we can only hope for a brief upgrade but then that would be hard to go back to economy! If there is room in business class woukd be very prudent to move us as we might pick business every time .....fat chance but they don't know that!
September 18th, 2015
@rosiekind Thank you Rosie......Lily says thanks for the fave
September 18th, 2015
Bep
Lovely homely shot.
September 18th, 2015
Lovely shot of Harry & Lily. Lily looks to be the same colours as Hattie's kitty friend - tortoise shell with white paws.
September 18th, 2015
Watching the rugby too, Pat! Go England - Fiji are far too rough! Lovely kitchen picture here and your blue seat cushions look so comfy! I've done so many trips in cattle class, I'm reluctant to do any more. Hate being squashed in with other people and told to sleep when I can't!
September 18th, 2015
Such a sweet capture! I simply love the warmth of your home and will definitely spend a day or two there next time I visit the UK
September 18th, 2015
Great photo! Harry's colours are perfect in your kitchen. ...Hee hee!
Sorry for missing so much recently, but had peculiar bug and really tired....
Hopefully things pick up soon.
September 18th, 2015
Oh how exciting that you're off to NZ in February. I can just picture your kitchen, what a lovely cosy scene.
September 18th, 2015
A wonderful shot . Love the tap tap on the hand that feeds !! Anomals are so wonderful and crafty -Alfie sits by me at breakfast as he knows I share my toast crusts with him ( no wonder I have no curls in my hair ) But then he snoozes with Gary on the settee when the TV is on !
September 18th, 2015
@beryl He knows whose the person for each occasion Beryl! Very crafty!
September 18th, 2015
@busylady Thanks Judith....we have decamped to the sitting room, having trouble with signal on the kitchen TV. We tend to sit in the kitchen in the summer as we don't watch as much TV but our reception is rubbish on certain channels.
September 18th, 2015
@sarah19 I did just think myself that we were quite accidental co ordinated! Sorry you have been off colour Sallie, hope things are looking up. You do too much! Teaching & then you are always busy visiting etc.
September 18th, 2015
Brilliant shot, cats always have such a lovely way of attracting attention don't they.
September 18th, 2015
Fabulous fun capture :-)
September 18th, 2015
So sweet, makes me miss my cat, one day I will get another one, when I have the time to send with it.
September 19th, 2015
@newbank Only just seen this post Ruth.....too much going on! That sounds a fantastic week for Sammy......he will have a ball! There will be a few tears but he won't have time to fret ....daddy's little mate for a week ! Someone has to keep daddy company! You go & enjoy your week, Benjy will so,enjoy being with you for a whole week...I'm a great one for a bit of me time with mum!
September 19th, 2015
@kwiksilver thanks Gillian, would be good to,see you!
September 19th, 2015
@maggiemae Yes it would be good to go the next level up....I did a leg in business once but it was when Max was a baby so didn't get the full effect somehow! One day when we perhaps only go every couple of years, that will happpen as we get older I imagine!
September 19th, 2015
Great story telling photo! Well done.
September 19th, 2015
Aww, cute shot.
