Cinema afternoon, how the weeks fly!
We went to see Missing you Already. It's been on for a few weeks now but we never just fancied seeing it. The Suffragettes has only just come out so we are saving that one for next week.
Today's film had four out of five stars & generally speaking it deserved it. Some excellent acting by the main character of a sensitive subject....worth seeing but not as enjoyable as The Intern last week.
Three good things:
1. The beautiful Lake District mountains looked only a stones throw away.
2. We are going to light the woodburner for the first time tonight.
3. Harry went for two loads of wood so we are well stocked up.
I rely on your cinema reviews! Nigel and I enjoyed Macbeth though I can understand the criticisms (hard to hear dialogue/not much Lady Macbeth etc) but amazing Scottish scenery. Very gory! Looking forward to Suffragette next.
@judithg We never saw Macbeth Judith.....some really good films coming out over the next few weeks. Suffragette of course & then there is one called Brooklyn another with Dame Maggie Smith as The woman in the Van. Those trailers were on today so lots to,look forward to. Everest & The Wire are for the braver ones!
We can't light our fire yet because of the damned jackdaw nest in the living room chimney. That's all 3 chimneys they've blocked up now and I can't get a sweep until the end of November!
@deliad No we have missed out Everest....something tells me I should see it but not sure if I can cope! Suffragettes for us next week. The Wire is another I will miss.....grown men going into the toilets to be sick! 3D version that is.
what a beautiful blue scene. Love all your movie reviews. We had 36c here today. extremely warm for October. Time to take the warm sheets of the bed me thinks.
Need a good comedy to come out.
Looks positively Mediterranean!
