Milk bar by happypat

Milk bar

A rather snazzy milk bar selling milk, eggs, potatoes etc has appeared in front of a local farmers house.

They have a milk bottling set up already so this seems a natural progression although it's not on a main road.
I would have liked to have taken the photo so that you could see inside but I wanted to include the lovely arch of trees.
There is a very handsome model cow in there with the milk which is a nice touch.

Three good things:
1. A very very lazy day & I got up late this morning....out tonight for a meal with friends so no cooking!
2. Watching a good game of rugby this afternoon hoping our favourites NZ will win.
3. I have done a wee bit of Christmas shopping online.

Lovely tree tunnel.

Sounds a delightful day.

Love things like this Pat. Not least because it is going against all of the ridiculous health and safety laws that there are these days. Nice tree tunnel too.

@jantan Thanks Jan....I thought of your tree tunnel when I took this....not as nice as yours but I have the milk bar!!!

A perfect spot for a milk bar. Farm gate sales of milk are popular here too.

Lovely arch of trees and a nice place to buy your milk.

@snaphappi Yes the farm next door to Jo & Ants is the Naked Milk Bar featured on Country Calendar a few years ago.

Lovely shot. Great arch of the trees. Don't have gate sales of milk around here. But perhaps we should ..

Still looks so green here over and by the road! We passed a farm that advertised selling raw milk! Don't know that I'd like that.

@maggiemae Raw milk is the very best maggiemae. All our kids were brought up on it & the taste is so much nicer. Not many people sell,it over here but it's popukar in certain quarters. The B&B's loved it! Has to be very regularly tested of course.

it is indeed a beautiful canopy of trees Pat, worth another trip in a week when the trees have turned another shade of autumn :)

I do like the wonderful arches...maybe a shot of the inside another day? I love raw milk

Love your composition and the lighting.

Love the way you've composed this Pat. No milk bars that I've seen round here. Too many sheep and very few cattle. I think it's a great idea though.

Ooh a beautiful arch of trees - and I'd love a 'milk bar' - I can get bread and veg with dog in tow by going to the market but have to go out separately if we run out of milk! Super fresh as well.

How charming...and love the curve in the road and canopy of trees.
