We have spent a lovely day in Manchester with Lydia.
Looked at her student flat which was really spacious with everything she could need including three quarter bed.
Caught the bus into town using our bus passes....the first time Harry had been on a regular bus in his life!
We did a bit of shopping, Cathy spent her birthday money & Lydia spent a bit in Zara.
Afterwards we all had a meal at a Chinese restaurant in China Town.
Thank you Garth, Cathy & Lydia for a lovely day.
I must apologise for lack of comments but have just been too busy going out. Will catch up tomorrow.
Three good things:
1. Seeing Lydia happy & settled & enjoying her course.
2. Chinese food
3. I had a look round The John Rylands Library, a beautiful & interesting place.
Nice shot.. like your processing.. Donna and I went t a café one day in the City and along with being a regular Café it was also a bike shop so really making the most of the tiny space.. they had bikes hanging from the roof as well.. I thought farmer George could say the same about buses but I think he had his first ride on a commuter bus last year in Queenstown..
Oh I spent many hours in the new John Rylands with no idea the old one was so beautiful! Lydia's room sounds a lot better than Adam's. Is this a Thaithun? We've just got one I Ca,bridge with a tuk tuk outside. Going to the loo was like the prison scene in Brigit Jones 2!
@judithg Yes it is Judith, well spotted! I haven't been inside as we went to China town where the lots were horrid. Why is every Chinese restaurant not a place you would spend time in unless for the food?
@happypat ooh we used to frequent quite a posh Chinese in Manchester when mum and dad were paying - Nigel says 'The Connaught' (bet the v expensive Connaught in London was pleased!) No dodgy loos there if it still exists....
