Cathy & I did a power walk this afternoon. Down by the River Brock we strode out....I managed to keep up alright but was flagging at the end. Not quite as fast as I used to be!
Three good things:
1. Painting bill cheaper than we thought!
2. While we were walking Harry mowed Cathy's lawn with his mulcher mower.
3. Called for chips at the chip shop to go with the chicken casserole in the oven.
Your power walk was nicer than mine - by the side of a busy road with cars roaring past! Oh, for a walk beside a trickling stream under bush and trees!
I know the feeling Pat , my excuse for stopping on walks is to take photographs .It looks a nice flat walk along side the river. How is Harry getting on with his new knees.
@maggiemae It was a lovely walk & we only met another family. A bit busier walking on the road back though, we had to keep crossing over on bends as there was no pavement.
@jantan I had the forethought to bang some chicken in a casserole in the Aga before I went out, couldn't be bothered doing potatoes so chip shop chips were just the thing!
A lovely place for a walk. I love to walk, but think I will leave out the word 'power' out of the exercise. Hard enough work walking on soft sand sometimes though.
Well you were brave letting her get ahead because then you have to jog to catch up! I find it very hard to power walk with the dog as he keeps stopping but can usually get a bit of speed up on the home straight!
