This is one of Harry's pet charges come to visit us. Wilf lives next door but often comes to our back door trying to get in. Lily does not like him so we keep him on the doorstep.
I have been into Garstang today via the toll bridge at the Cartford. Just terrible rain again coming down. I only just got through the floods but didn't dare risk going back that way so came all round by Inskip & only just got through deep floods there too.
Loads of police everywhere directing traffic different ways. One large wagon stuck on the narrow lane in front of me on the way home, four policemen directing the queue of cars stuck behind him but eventually I got home thank goodness.
St Michaels still cut off with floods across the road.
I called for fuel in the garage & there were some terrible stories of sheep drowned in the fields.
Three good things:
1. A lovely surprise calendar from @julzmaioro & all photos personally taken by Julz. Thank you so much.
2. We are out tonight at a surprise birthday party in the private dining River House at the Cartford. My cinema pal has no idea where she is going tonight!
3.My new coat is very waterproof!
What a lovely looking cat Wilf is. Live these blue eyed beauties
I am pleased the calendar has arrived and you like it. Take care in all that rain. Those poor farmers hard to keep their amimals safe.
He looks like a cat with purpose!!!!
So sad that rain so devastating for so many in your part of the country. You're very brave driving in it.....but I suppose no alternatives at times. Take care anyway. X
She is lucky to have you as neighbours! Looks like a friendly puss who would miss the company of her owners! I'm afraid I wouldn't leave her behind! Those floods sound wicked!
Such a little beauty , with a very purposely gait as she comes to see her Harry !! Cats are no fools when it comes to friendly humans and food !!
The rain and floods are sooo horrible for all concerned -- not only humans but also livestock ! Lets Pray they will recede soon -- Take good care of yourselves Pat and Harry !
My feeding charge tries to get in too but he (a cat) frightens Monty and would terrify Rafiki so he's not allowed in. Come to think of it I haven't seen him for ages - I must ask if he's still alive (quite old and skinny but v popular with the school children who walk past).
@judithg Wilf is a pest to be truthful Judith...ok in the winter when the doors shut but he comes in during the summer when the door is open & strolls round the kitchen...on one occasion I knew he had been in if you get the drift!
I love everything about this gorgeous cat and the area surrounding him! Such a great name as well! It's a lovely, low level view to your neighbourhood; quite charming to my American eye!
