These crows stay in families don't they? I wonder if they are planning a Christmas in this tree? The land owner probably doesn't appreciate their presence! Good 3 things!
@maggiemae that's us maggiemae! We don't mind them but not keen on the noise they make. There were a lot more but just popped my heard out if the back door this morning to see how cold it was & took a quick unaimed shot....should have got more tree in!
You should post this for weather watchers! Hurrah for Lydia being home. I cooked a big roast dinner for Adam and his friend & Rachel (and Nige!) tonight - big of a problem with the lemon meringue pie not setting but it was really nice to have youngsters eating!
looks very murky .. Harry doing well with his walking .. knee must be feeling good.. you have just reminded to get my a into g and get the rest of my cards done..
Amazingly I quite like to see the crows circling and in and out of the old oak trees in the field , and building their such untidy nests !! Your sky still looks threatening here - I just watched Countryfile earlier on TV what devastation for both homes and live stock . Perhaps the weather is on a turn - but we still had rain most of this morning !!
@beryl Thanks Beryl & yes a typical winter scene & I like winter. Frost this morning but then rain again. The good news is they have removed the serious flood warning in St Michaels. Still flooded but the level,is going down & banks holding well. Our road is closed until at least Wednesday.
@phil_howcroft Yes same here pretty much Phil but I like lights on....l have a thing about little lights been on all day! Lucky Harry feels the same....makes it cosy.
@judithg oh i dream of the day my littlest will enjoy a good roast. After 20 months of no meat except sausages and fish fingers entering his mouth i plummented to new depths tonight and served 'chicken' fish fingers..... i live in mild hope. My eldest asked for rocket leaves to be added to the shopping order tonight....
@newbank I told Adam's 6'2" 13 stone friend that I'd done him a veggie version but I couldn't maintain the pretence for long! When Adam was 2 he was in hospital and the choice of meals EVERY day was fish fingers or turkey dinosaurs - after a week nobody wanted to see one ever again even though all the turkey dinosaurs I'd ever served had a leg missing - well you've got to checked they're cooked ;0)
@judithg two years on littlest would eat fish fingers and ketchup morning, noon and night but i keep it to once or twice a week! Must be eating something somewhere along the line that is good
@judithg Love the missing leg! @newbank wait until he's older he will eat you out of house & home, mind you rocket leaf request is slightly alarming.....a foodie in the making!!
Rocket leaf and spinach are his two new favourite veg. Its a cause of major internal celebration if littlest consumes sweetcorn....thankgoodness he loves soup. I must make the must nutrionally dense soup ever- many vegs, lentils, potatoes and then small pasta shapes that gets washed down with cheese and bread twice a week and i can sigh with relief that goodness has gone in! Eldest already eats me out of home....
@newbank Well they sound very healthy boys & loving their veg, you can't go wrong! Sounds like you love making nourishing homely food! Nothing better than homemade!
Nice capture of those swirling crows, we have them just near our house too. Just been reading this food thread! It's as entertaining as a story! My grandson still has to put tomato ketchup with everything, but at least he is eating!
