I took some photos in Blackpool today but accidentally deleted them.
Never mind here is a photo from our trip to Liverpool on the 10th November.
I know the exact day as I have been talking to John Lewis this morning by phone.
I. Bought something in John Lewis that day, had buyers remorse & decided to sent it back for a refund. Parcelled it up complete with receipt, recorded delivery, everything I was told to do.
The parcel never arrived!
I have a form to fill in from PO but have to prove what the item was worth. I payed cash unfortunately & of course the receipt was in the parcel. John Lewis is very kindly tracing the till receipt for me.
I know I will never parcel stuff up again without thinking it could go astray something I never thought would happen to me!!
I am hopeful of the outcome but still slightly worried...lets just say the item was not cheap!!
This was one of the best bands I have ever heard, just so lively & all the various instruments sounding wonderful together.
Three good things:
1. Reputable shops with a great reputation!
2. Fantastic poinsettia present today, so beautiful & Christmassy!
3. Collect in car service at M&S. Saved traipsing our shopping through Blackpool.

How annoying when something so apparently simple proves to be so complicated. John Lewis have a good reputation.

Lovely shot. Hope the post office sort it out. That's one of the main reasons I'm stopping the dolls clothes on eBay...i think the post office are terrible at refunding .... Appalling service!!
Ive been done by the po in the lasf few weeks.... sold some boots. All packaged up safely, sent recorded delivery....parcel arrived minus the boots... (supposedly....) either im the result of a brillant scam or something dodgy with the post service. So frustrating!!

@happypat Have you looked up on the post office site to see if it was signed for? I hope that at least John Lewis will refund you. I always take photos or photo copies of all important documents I send in the post as in the past had so much bad expience when dealing with the post office. I often wonder what is the point of recorded service??
@bizziebeeme John Lewis says it's not been delivered Laura so not much I can do there! As I paid cash I have no proof of value so hopefully once they send me a copy of the till receipt I can fill the post office form in & send it off. There is a worry that the value was not put on any documentation as it was posted. Not sure I think our post mistress in the local PO did it correctly. I am wondering if I should have sent it registered post but JL advised recorded. I have learnt a massive amount, stuff I will make sure I I take note of next time. Will,let you know how I go on. If someone had opened the parcel it's easy just to take the garment back to the shop & get a full cash refund! Very nice at Christmas time!
@bizziebeeme Ureeka Laura, I have just been on the PO website entered the tracking number & it says it was delivered & signed for at Liverpool!! So grateful for that information, I would never have thought if looking there! Will be onto John Lewis in the morning!! Big hugs to you! Might still not be enough but I am getting somewhere!

@claireuk Floods are receding Claire thank you. They hope to open the main road by Wednesday hopefully. Still pipes across the road piping the water back into the river but the banks have held.
They put the collection box out so far that people would trip on it! I daresay they collected a lot of money if they were good! I tend to do that too - send off things without keeping receipts etc. If they find it, it may be a good thing to put that online for them! Oh, I see Laura has suggested something which gave a result!
@maggiemae Yes even I put money in that box.....they were really enjoying themselves. I have learnt massively from this episode maggiemae! Copy, copy, copy everything!
