This photo is SOC apart from a slight sharpening but the colour has not been touched.
The sun was low in the sky & the long dead dry grass was beautifully lit by the setting sun.
A farm tucked into the fell side completes the picture.
Three good things:
1. A cottage pie in the oven for tea. Lydia is driving over to stay for a couple of nights while dad & mum are away. It will be easy for her to eat with her sore tonsil free throat.
2. The fire extinguishers all serviced this morning. We have one next door, one in our house & one in the workshop.
3. Jelly & raspberries.
So good to know this is the natural colour caused by the light at this time! The farm looks quite isolated here but cosy being tucked in to the hillside! Love cottage pie - must do one - a man's favourite!
@judithg Yes she is missing uni Judith but hoping to start doing a bit of work from home. All in power points online apparently. She would love to be back with her friends though, another week off yet. Throat sore & on antibiotics & pain killers but very chipper, she drove here today.
Yes - it's a good thing about the digital revolution and she'll feel so much better now they're gone. When Adam had his out we had to avoid other children - some awkward moments in Ikea when I had to tell him to come over to me and a child's mother gave me a filthy look - I nearly explained but didn't quite get the chance - anyway she looked at him looking a bit pale and I think maybe she realised we weren't just being nasty!
Our raspberries are all but finished for the season now. The birds and wasps are getting what is left.
Lovely sounding pie :)
