Harry & I went to Cathy's house this afternoon, him to spray her green mossy bits on the drive with Algon & Cathy & I to have a walk along the River Brock to Barton Grange.
A lovely afternoon for a walk & I took this photo on the pedestrian bridge spanning the main west coast railway line. We used to just be able to walk across if the lights were not on red but after a spate of suicides they built this massive bridge.
You can see the M6 as it travels north towards Lancaster & Scotland.
Three good things:
1. I defrosted the freezer.
2. A nice clean chip pan.
3. My neck has improved over the last two days. I am using my iPad sensibly & rubbing in Voltarol.
Lovely wide view across the rural landscape! The road as expected looks busy. That moss on driveways is so hard to move. I used to pour boiling water on it and it died immediately! Just remembered that and will do it on present driveway! Countdown......
A lovely rural scene with the sheep peacefully grazing -- even the motorway adds to the scene with the pop of orange coloured wagons passing along ! A lovely walk for the two of you ! and glad to hear that your neck is getting better !
Looks a lovely place for a walk even with the motorway going past. The M6 is my favourite motorway for the views!! Good to hear your neck has improved!!
@judithg Yes it's so pretty from Lancaster onwards isn't it Judith? I particularly love the Howgils. When I used to visit my aunt in Hexham & travel home in the evening the light as you drove over was amazing.
@maggiemae Cathy had a go at power washing but it brought the Tarmac up. Algon is very good & Harry does it for them each year. I would think you have something similar!
must have been a lovely walk Pat. beautiful scenery. It always seems a shame to have your busy motorways slicing through the countryside but I guess everyone needs to get somewhere as fast as possible.
Nice landscape :)
