Some of you may remember this field from a photo I posted a few years ago when it was flooded before.
Always a low lying field with a brook running through it which is fed by the tidal River Wyre it is often under water but not often in the middle of summer.
The cattle don't seem to mind too much.
Three good things:
1. I have voluntarily been on a proper walk this morning. Since I broke my ankle I have been slow getting going again but this morning I was up for putting on my rucksack & going to the village veggie shop on a roundabout route of about 4 & a half miles.
2. The Hoover came back unblocked!
3. It just so happens I'm reading a rather relevant book about the sculpting of Christ the Redeemer in Rio. It's a novel but I presume the basic information of names & method is true. The Seven Sisters by Lucinda Riley. I am enjoying it.
@quietpurplehaze Thanks Hazel! @thresheg And you Graham! @jmj I thought the same Jennifer, wondered if it was a big busy with all the cloud, etc! @carolmw Thanks for the Fave Carol.
Makes a lovely shot but not so good for the pasture. We have just had a week of lovely fine weather and the spell got broken yesterday with over 50mm in a few hours
I thought this was like a painting too Pat! And it's lovely though very sad about all the flooding. Well done for getting such a long walk done and hope you are soon feeling like joining with your walking group again!
