A grave stone is a useful bike prop sometimes! I'm sure these old folks in these graves won't mind my bike leaning on their resting place!
Rather gloomy & im not a natural black & white lover but thought it a change, not sure if it works!
I have a far nicer one of summer flowers but that's tomorrow's, trying to ring the changes plus it's a diary photo.
Three good things:
1. First time on my bike for eighteen months! A bit wobbly going over our dangerous hill but only two cars passed me.
2. After our cleaning stint we retired to the Courtyard cafe for coffee & chat.
3. Just checked out air flights to NZ & pleasantly surprised how low they were!
I hope no one got up from their resting place and rode off on your bike !! hee hee !! I am not a lover of B/W but it seems very suitable for this scene , Pat
@alinz@julzmaioro Just have to check dates suit everyone then I will book. Coming on my own this time but will be spending more time round Taupo area possibly! Probably have a week up your way at the beginning so can arrange something hopefully!
I really like this.. so atmospheric..love the centering of the bike and the cross on the tombstone..its like a past and present pic.. its the bike just leaning there...
@maggiemae Yes I can Maggie, it's about a mile away but the main road is a bit dodgy going up that hill if you remember. Once I get over that I just cycle on the footpath. Takes me just short of ten minutes.
great atmosphere. Youre lucky to be able to bike around. We have too many hills around us and I could never be bothered to put the bike in the car and drive somewhere.
I think you did very well with B&W - lots of details and contrasts. Like you, I'm not keen on B&W but figured it is a good exercise for composition since all colour is eliminated.
VERY smart!
