Ladybirds & sunny chives. by happypat

Ladybirds & sunny chives.

A different day completely after yesterday's wind & rain.
The sun is out & alls well with the world.

I dried all the washing outside & was interested to see lots of ladybirds 🐞 sitting on the sheets.
I read some interesting facts about ladybirds 🐞 yesterday in the paper.
Apparently ladybirds 🐞 can fly for 74 miles non stop at heights of 3,600 feet & speeds of 37mph.
Isn't that amazing?

Three good things:
1. Reviews.
2. A haircut.
3. Facts.
Amazing fact re your ladybirds Pat , and a lovely shot --I love chives , but my tub of chives looks rather weak this year I suppose I should treat it to a fresh pot of compost and give it a feed -- it has been in the same pot for years without any TLC !!- Poor thing !
Snap , I also had a hair trim this morning and it so feels a ton better !

Nicely back lit shot. Thanks for the info on lady birds. They truly are amazing creatures but such a pain when they invade our house in the fall.
(We have the Asian type imported as aphid control on soybeans. They lose their homes in the fall when the soybeans are harvested so they move into neighbouring homes).

I have learnt that chives flowers are edible and have a liquorice like flavour! Must plant some somewhere. Chives in mashed potato or scrambled eggs are the best!

Thank you all. Glad you found the ladybird info interesting! Not much time to comment tonight as talking to B&Bers, I do talk too much!!
@maggiemae I have never tasted a chive flower Maggie, but I love the whole herb, the smell, the chives & the flowers! Not a bit wasted if I can eat the latter!
