I went for a walk this afternoon & called into our village to buy some sausages for our supper of Toad in the Hole.
A glorious day at last with blue sky & a lovely nip to the air.
Three good things:
1. Mobile phones as I rang Harry to come & pick me up after I had walked three miles. Not the walker I was but I had 4lbs of weight on my back & I have a sore big toe.
2. The butchers was beautifully decorated for Christmas!
3. Smiles.
Just had another look at this photo & I don't like it at all but all the writing part is ok so have left it in. No need to comment today!
I'm not happy when I don't like the days photo!
Its a shame you don't like it, but I know how you feel. However, I like the capture of the lady at the fish van and the seated lady looking at her friend assessing the clothes rail :-)
It looks a bit chilly.. lucky to have these markets regularly..mobile phone system are great but it is usually when you really need something now that they don't work..
Never mind Pat --it happens to us all -- it seems rather deserted at the street market . Snap - I have also a sore big toe -- I suppose I should go to the chiropodist !! Its lovely to see the "ordinary " shops ,like the butchers decorated for Christmas . Enjoy your toad in the hole !
@busylady That's what I didn't like about them Judith but I think it's just the colour of the tarmac on the road. I took others that were a much better colour. Just one to forget I think!
@beryl The rush had passed during the morning that's if you can count about another ten people round the stalls a rush!! Mine isn't a chiropdy problem worse luck as I have daughter to deal with that, I have a bunion problem which has suddenly got painful for some reason!
I like markets too but this one is very small & as you can see not very busy! The Christmas trees will be selling at the next one on Wednesday next week.
It's not all about the quality of the photo Pat. Sometimes it's just about capturing the moment or recording the day. This will mean something in years to come.
I agree with sue @susiemc. Its also a sort of story for part of your day! I'm glad for phones too - just in case I need to call John to pick me up! You have got a sort of a blue look in all these photos which can be a nice wintry look!
Interesting collage. Not so sure I would like to be working on a market stall in the cold weather. the lady in the blue coat looks very rugged up and cold.
