This field had maize growing in it until a few weeks ago but has now been re sown back to grass. You can see all the lovely new shoots coming through in this picture.
Loved the snow capped fells in the distance.
Three good things:
1. Free coffees in Booths with toasted tea cakes.
2. A successful dress alteration accomplished by a clever dressmaker.
3. A matching scarf.
Ooh dear I read your title as "new boots " !! and thought to myself why take them to a flooded field !! Amazing how quickly a new crop begins to grow !!
@quietpurplehaze I went in my favourite shop in Garstang & a lady was trying on a sweater I had bought a few weeks ago. She added a matching scarf, it looked good so I bought one too! We made sure we didn'tt live anywhere near each other first!
Nice .....hope you get a good wind soon to dry things up! And snow on the hills here too. I'm hoping that as has happened often November snow is followed by some snow free months!!!
Good to get alterations done well. I like reviving favourite clothes.!!
@maggiemae No the dress is Cathy's & the new scarf & sweater is just day wear to put on for somewhere smart. You I think the earth is still feasibly warm as it's only come cold since a fortnight ago Maggie.
@sarah19 The dressmaker is retiring at Christmas unfortunately as she is so good but has whispered to me that she would be willing to do simple jobs such as shortnening trousers as long as I don't tell anyone else!!
Beautiful shot Pat. Grass has never stopped growing here this year the weather has been so mild. Mind you, the recent rain means all our water meadows are now under water! Flood warnings everywhere
