Preparation for New Years Eve

Queueing up to have nails done in town this week.

Makes my plain unpainted nails look dull but I've never bothered painting my nails, they wouldn't last long in a farming life anyway.

Three good things:
1. Helping out at the village hall this afternoon in readiness for tonight's celebrations.
2. A thank you letter from Lydia.
3. Prawns, I love prawns!

Seems to be the busiest shop in town these days.. this farmer wife often gets hers done
. The new stalactites Polish is amazing and can last for weeks .. I have a Christmas tree on one of mine at the moment.. such fun..

Perfect nails or not -- they must make a booming trade before the celebrations . No I never had my nails painted -- short and clean was the order of the day for a Home Ec Teacher ( or food technologist , these days !!) Lovely bright shot -- enjoy your evening celebrating !

I don't have to queue up to have my nails painted; 15 years old granddaughter loves to colour my nails every now and then.

I like nicely painted nails. I do try to occasionally paint mine but I'm too impatient to sit for long waiting for them to dry.

My nails would last one day! Never pay to have that happen! But nowadays they paint pictures on nails - what next - noses? Had huge garlic prawns for part of our lunch yesterday!

I love to get my feet 'done' every so often - I went with my 16 year old just before xmas and we both had pedicures!

It really is a popular thing these days. Never found the time for it myself. I always keep my nails short. Can't type with long nails.

I have to say I totally don't get it...I like having my hands in the dirt. Did you know it ( hands in dirt) is a preventative measure for depression?

we have so many of these places in our shopping malls and they always smell so potent. Polish never lasts long for me so i dont bother. what a patient man standing there waiting

I'm fascinated......some of my friends are really into nail decorating etc!
I've sometimes polished my own but cooking, gardening and primary school classrooms really don't do much for them! I like Jane's theory!

I rarely have mine done - lovely when they are new but too expensive to maintain and I object to paying to have it taken off! Plus the last place files my nails too thin...
