Lucky market stall holders today, the sun shone on their stalls & lots of people to look at everything on sale. It can be such hard work when the wind & rain are blowing & no one wants to browse their stuff.
Harry & I had a laugh today. We popped into a cafe in Garstang for a coffee & a toasted tea cake. When I was paying I gave the the lovely cafe owner a tip, she is such a chatty, happy girl.
Next stop was the electricians for a battery for our weighing scales. I looked in my purse where I had put the old battery & realised I had given it as part of the tip!
I rushed back & we had to shake the tip money out of her jar & there it was! A small round flat battery about the size of a ten pence piece so easily done but not good following on from yesterday's senior moment!
Three good things:
1. Some special ear stuff for my deaf ear.
2. Lots of sale stuff in Garstang but I resisted!
3. Starting a new book.
@newbank Just finished The Widow by Fiona Barton, fab book I was up in the night reading it! Just going to start a sample of The Marriage Lie by Kimberly Belle.
@beryl No surprisingly not Beryl, I think everyone was enjoying the sun on their heads. I didn't wear mine today but if you moved out of the sun it was very cold!
Looks like a beautiful day for shoppers and sellers.
Love @judithg's advice on when to worry about senior moments. :) Until then, I'd chalk them up to holiday distraction.
