I had a serious senior moment today when I drove for a fifty mile round trip to meet a friend for lunch & discovered it was next week!
This is my view as I looked towards the door expecting her to walk in any minute!
Three good things:
1. The friend has no idea that I got the days muddled up!
2. Pork casserole in the oven.
3. A Christmas card from @julzmaioro Thank you Julz!
Oh I am pleased it arrived.. and good it was on a day you had a bit of a mix up.. does not look like anyone was there.. have a nice catch it next week..
It's a wonderful image of your expectation, Pat. Don't feel bad...a few years ago I drove from Charlotte to Athens, GA for our annual sisters weekend with my sister and sisters-in-law only to find out it was the following weekend. A six hour round trip for naught. :(
Oh dear, but it looks like a nice place. I like the expectant open door and the reflections on that lovely shiny table. I wonder if you'll sit in the same spot next week?! Lol!
Uh oh!! Our bins have been out for two nights - not because I misread the complicated instructions but because I thought it was Thursday today... I hope you had lunch anyway.
@julzmaioro There were a few eating but it wasn't busy, I looked round the massive shop while I was waiting. I asked fir a flat white coffee, the worst one I have ever had, doesn't bode well for next week! Lovely card thank you again, I should have sent you one, sorry but I was so disorganised with my cards this year, too much gadding & too much enjoying visitors!
@brennieb Yes easy to forget what day it is when you have no structure to your week, should have checked the diary, I rely too much on my memory! @carolmw
@judithg No lunch, I am on a careful eating plan, well that's what I call it! I deliberately only had fruit to eat for breakfast, didn't fancy lunch on my own so have done really well today on my less food intake! The buns are a mystery over Christmas, remembering when to put them out & what colour, I leave that to Harry!

Have to laugh really, mustn't complain as I like driving & it was an area I didn't know, a beautiful day & I gave a heated car seat! What's to mind!!
@jackie8 Very true Jackie, I didn't think of that, I was blaming my friend for forgetting. Good we have smart phones & I could log on & read our correspondence again!
Oh dear, we have all had moments like this. Not only when a 'senior' in my case. It is such a busy time and days get mixed up. At the moment I keep saying to David, "What day is it". So much going on here. Hope the meal next week is better than the coffee.
@onewing Well I can't blame that I'm too busy Babs, things are pretty quiet at the moment. Trouble is I make arrangements then don't check the calendar before I think I should be doing stuff! I do get days confused though & have to ask myself what day it is, that's why this project is good for me so I can keep track!
