Boys on a hill by happypat

Boys on a hill

I just can't help myself & have to post this photo today.
My DIL sent it us from NZ this morning.
Max & Finn exploring their new place near Taupo.
They have recently moved from the Raglan area & bought this land so they can build their house, it will be on the land below just to the left of Max's left shoulder.
You can just see the place with the green roof where they are living temporarily now & where I shall be staying in three weeks time.

Three good things:
1. Photos of family.
2. Out for an Indian meal tonight. Will be a new venture for us eating Indian food so interesting!
3. News & photos from around the world telling stories.
What a beautiful area, and I totally get why you'd want to share this picture too. Family is precious. How delightful that they'll be building their own new place soon.

A wonderful place for a new home. Only a few weeks before you can see this with your own eyes.

Wow Pat what a place! Mind you the other was lovely too. This seems like unusual landscape - not something we'd see here - is it old volcanic/earthquake activity that gives all the little hills and flat bits? It's a bit cruel really taunting me with hills ;0)) V cute boys of course!

Wow, looks great! Let me know if you are meeting up in Hamilton for coffee again!!!

@alinz Well I'm just waiting to hear from the @julzmaioro if she has time to meet up Ali. Unfortunately I only have one week in your area as after a week I'm off down to Lake Taupo for three weeks almost so it's a short time gap. I would live to meet up with all of you & will be able to organise something from 9th Feb to around 14 th Feb.

@judithg Yes this is a typical NZ landscape, all inside out I call it! Flat bits on the top & very wavy undulating hills & mountains. I will post another in my extras.

I thought they were settled in this place. A new house to be built - something to look forward to and Max and Finn can choose their bedroom! Lovely NZ landscape! Careful of that Indian food - got a tum upset last time I had some!

@maggiemae We didn't go in the end Maggie, one of our friends was ill so perhaps next week. This is the place they have just bought & plan to start building asap. Hard to get builders I believe though.
